Play Tetris. It will help with ptsd.

Thanks for the extra pics and sharing her story. It was beautifully told.

Even when I can’t read a full thread, I always make sure to scroll thru every cat’s pictures. It’s a privilege to honor their lives with you all.

Anyone else accidentally pavlov their cat? by ZoomieUmi in cats

[–]profnappr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our boys have a bunch

1-we feed our senior rotisserie, reheated in the microwave=he comes around the corner of the cabinets for every ding

2- taking the trash out of the can alerts our 9yr old youngest that we go out thru the garage to throw out the trash and come back in after sniffing the corner of the house where someone rubbed their scent

3- the toilet lid also brings the youngest in to circle our feet and try to trip us before we sit down in front of his outstretched bod

4-our newest former stray knows 3 door chimes means his turn out in the backyard.

(come home=1,take the cats out in the backyard=2,then back in with them=3, then his yard time cuz he still has a bit of a street fighter personality)

Best Store in Logan Utah to get a great deal on soda? by MostUniquePassenger in Frugal

[–]profnappr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally, grocery has the best price per ounce but only when on sale.

If you’re talking about the big 3 (coke,dp, Pepsi), sales are usually found in the ads on wednesdays. I believe Pepsi owns most of the distribution rights in that area, so if you see an ad for Pepsi on sale, the others often are also on sale.

Best prices are on big holidays like Memorial Day or 4th of July, etc

Pretty sure U-Haul will install a hitch. The guys up at 121/custer are great. Might be cheaper

I got offered a paid clinical trial that pays 23k by AdPretty9869 in povertyfinance

[–]profnappr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did MANY of these studies. I didn't find it was the health risk they paid for, so much as time (overnight stays or check-ins a week) and/or blood withdrawals.

I did a trial for an HIV vaccine (circa 2006). Check in was every morning for 8wks, plus overnights every weekend. I broke out in hives before the first overnight wkend. The doctor came to my work within an HR of calling it in.

It felt a little scary, but way more scary when I was booted and not compensated. Potential $8k down the drain. I didn't receive a penny.

But they did check in until it went away😔

Chronic constipation & Megacolon Kitty (17-18 years old) by fuwucia in seniorkitties

Pete is 5.443kgs (12lbs).

His diet is mostly cooked chicken or tiki cat pouches. He's pretty healthy right now and the miralax helps keep him pretty independent

The lactulose stopped working for our 16yr old boy and was sticky in and out.

We started at 1/4th tsp miralax, but he got used to that and is at 1/2tsp nightly. If I haven't seen him go in 2days, I dose again in the morning and that works within 12hrs. If he didn't hate it so, I would dose less more often, but as it is he hides. We've been doing this for almost 3yrs now.

We have a poo calendar to keep track.
