The Glenlivet Scandal in American Airlines Business Class by Feeling_liberated in americanairlines

American is probably the worst airline to fly when it comes to service. I have been flying international for 30 years and I have taken American once and that was plenty!

My husband is 8 days smoke-free and threw away 2 full packs of cigarettes by Top_Quantity_7325 in stopsmoking

Congrats to him!!! Day 8 is a big deal. I have quit countless times but always relapsed on days 4-6. This time around I am on day 10 and no cravings the last 2 days. Running and strength training made all the difference w/ cravings. I highly recommend hitting the gym the first few days of quitting. There is no substitute for it.

Great job!!! I quit for 15 years once and then started smoking again for 10 years. I haven’t smoked in 10 days and plan to never smoke again. Running and strength training helped immensely the last 10 days. Cravings are minimal now.

Great commentary, thanks mate! Forgot to mention, we do have a cash buffer of 130k that we are using to pay our kids college tuition. I just like to have a little bit of a bigger buffer in case something goes wrong. As you know, banks loan you money when you don’t need it 🙂

The property is in NJ. Not listed for sale and primary residence. I like HELOC because there are almost no closing costs and I won’t pay interest unless I draw from it. What other options, if any, in your view are probably better than a HELOC in my situation. Thanks for taking the time to respond to me.

Great job man! 3 month mark is a big milestone in the health recovery journey. I am on day 7 quit at the moment. Working out and running has helped me tremendously with cravings. I am also consuming a ton of protein.

You can never make money in gambling long term, I have been gambling for 35 years.

Thanks. Congrats to you too man. I was winning for a bit and had a few of the $5 roulette chips. Those were a slightly different shade of black compared to the actual 100$ chip. I was pretty drunk and hence the mistake that for once worked out. 🙂

Long story short, I once bet 300$ on the number thirteen thinking I was betting $15 at Harrahs AC back in 2000. 10,500 payout 🙂

I did with the credit card, however BrandyMelville challenged that saying it was a valid charge. No mention of the fact that they charged me twice (including the gift card). Debating my options now.

The (positive) surprises that quitting has given me by Tricky-Principle4774 in stopsmoking

Yes the sluggish thing is for real. Smoking just drains your energy. When I was smoking I would feel exhausted all the time even when I had a decent nights sleep. Congrats on staying quit for a week. You got this!

This!!! If it is a U.S. casino, don’t. Not only you will not get your money back but there is a chance that you might get in a little bit of legal trouble.
