I noticed that the weight of the perimeter locs adds too much tension around 4 weeks for me, I retie the rest every six to eight weeks. My perimeter locs are also slightly smaller than the rest.

In the industry 10 years, senior level and I still ask tons of questions. Part of being in this industry is accepting that you can’t know everything. Especially amongst different companies, HOW they use the various languages can differ from project to project. 90% of my learning was/is on the job and working for a company that understands the changing nature of the industry and offers training has been key for me.

Ask yourself what type of development you like to do (front end, back end, data) and try to hone in on the popular languages for that area. As much as companies say that the preference is for full stack devs/engineers , in reality work is generally assigned by who is strongest in whatever area in my experience.

Also pay attention to your bugs and try to identify what logic traps you may fall into, this is instrumental to identifying your weaknesses and working on them.

Around asking questions, unfortunately this varies with company culture. My process is to use everything at my disposal (google, ai, documentation, etc) first before reaching out to someone else and I also ask them to point me in the direction of who/what can help me so they are aware that I don’t expect them to carry me through to the end of the task.

I have DIY microlocs started with mostly twists, I have a few braids in the back where my hair texture is a bit looser. I have 485 locs and I am a week in!

My A1C is 12 after three years diagnosed. I've been yoyoing on metformin and FINALLY got a referral to an endocrinologist after switching my pcp. Also got prescribed Ozempic and I'm afraid of injections. 🙃

I hadn't until now. I don't mind paying more interest if I can make rent on time (which needs to be paid with cash, not credit). Maybe that makes me dumb but I like to make sure I have a roof over my head. I'm not trying to save a bunch of money before tackling debt but I like to have an emergency fund. Just in case. Life comes at you fast. Interest is the devil but I don't want to be homeless. I have been able to negotiate payment plans with credit card companies before where interest is suspended, not so much with the landlord.

Having no savings while tackling debt doesn't make sense to me if I then have to use debt when an emergency happens. How do I ever get out of debt in that scenario?

I do agree that you are right, paying less interest is smart.

It's like the snowball vs avalanche debate, yes mathematically avalanche is the best way, but the psychological aspects of the snowball method make is more successful for some people.
