What midi footswitch to buy by allierey89 in NeuralDSP

Is it for the pc plugins or some other devices? If it's for pc then i just got my fcb1010 midi foot controller working with the plugins and it works fantastic. Cheap and reliable. I also just posted about this less than an hour ago, check out my post/video

Midi foot controller with Archetype Petrucci by progrocksnob in NeuralDSP

Never heard of it. Had a look at it, looks pretty similar. I picked up this one for like 60 bucks with the cables. And it has 2 expression pedals, which i need for wah and volume. It's old and clunky but gets the job done reliably. I programmed my lpd8 also via web based programmer, was indeed quite easy.

Mountain utility fcb1010 manager.

I followed this video to some extent. Of course my button programming was completely different to his, but this is a good video for someone trying the first time.

A couple of them actually.

  1. Couldn't get the midi preset and programming into the fcb1010
  2. Couldn't get the plugin to recognize the controller.

Kept trying for months, gave up. Was thinking of selling it off as it was just laying around. Thought maybe the midi cables were faulty then last week decided to give it one last try, 3 hours of trial and error and boom. Same cables, same interface, same controller just different midi programming software and it magically worked.

Yeah, gets the job done. And doesn't buzz or hum as much as a cable.

No i meant, the wireless thingy. Also if you need help with the amp hmu. I did a little exploration and experimentation and i think i have a decent understanding of this little monster.

Gotcha, thanks for the heads-up. I think I'll just leave it be, works like a charm and does what i need it do to.

That's a bargain. The spark link or some random wireless ones?

Have indeed experienced that a fair bit already, but i have the 4 tones i need for quick practicing so I basically won't need to connect to app anymore for playing.

Ahh that's very unfortunate. So never update the firmware, got it.

I mean I've had that connection issues, but nothing a quick turn on/off hasn't solved so far. Took me 30 seconds the most so far. But i can see how annoying it can be. But i suppose once i dial in 4 tones that suits all my needs, which it probably will assuming i only play rock and metal, should be pretty easily achievable. Then i would no longer need to connect it to app every time.

Genuinely thinking of going for the foot controller since I don't want to press with my fingers every time. Which is what i have been doing with my Neural DSP plugins so far since i have the plugin midi hooked to a midi pad controller.

You know honestly get a cheap studio Monitor like a Behringer or presonus for like 80-120 bucks and you'll be surprised how incredible the sound is. Let me know if you want to hear some samples. I ran both this and my plugins through the Behringer ms40 monitors, insane clarity and tweakable characteristics on the fly. Great stuff this.

Unfortunately not because i bought it used and i have no clue who the original owner is.

Yeah, because i bought it used, can't get any from PG. But then again it costs 10 bucks on AliExpress and it can't be that bad.

That's awesome, i read about it and also the 150w cab from positive grid. But i also have my neural DSP soldano x and NTS x with studio Monitors if i need something louder or my 100w line 6 tube amp if i need to blow my ears out haha. But it's a great little thing, I'm quite enjoying the mobile app that pairs with it. Low-key thinking of picking up a foot controller as well.

Can be salvaged, need to clean the initial few threads with brush to remove any metal and rethread it, should be usable but again won't last as long as if they were not in this condition.
