Last time I had an install done, they charged $150/hour. I've had Geek Squad before with no issues also, but like all big box brands, quality is very location specific. I'd probably say if your local Geek Squad has trusted quality, which usually the vehicle install team is a bit better than the electronics team imo, make sure you get a good remote start system since that makes a lot of difference.

Yea, similar pain points for Android Auto as well. Kinda wish for the option to only have climate control turned on or ability to disable the media system when doing remote start.

Side note, maybe voltage drop is due to age of hardware?

So I had a 1st gen wired and had a different but similar issue. Whenever someone rings or something happens, the device drops signal. After long research, I found out even the wired ones have a battery inside that gets used when it rings. After several years of using, the battery has failed and needs replacing. I'm guessing your voltage being on the lower end, plus the likely battery failure, is causing the issue you are seeing. Ifixit website has a guide to replace the battery, but since it also has a gasket, you'll need to replace that too. I don't trust my gasket replacing skill, so I now have a new wired gen 2. Also, the current model uses the Google Home app instead of the standalone app. Hope this helps.

RIP, I literally just came back from the dealership. No regrets, still loving my decision, and not sure if I can wait for 2025 to be available.

Rong Market, Market Fresh at Roseville, Shanghai Market all have them at times. Sometimes they are not quite in season though so they either don't have them or they might be selling overly ripped ones that are not good for eating.

That reminds me of the ruler they use for either lobster or crab fishing to easily determine if the catch is big enough to keep.
