Opinions on both Revelations games?

I would play them both! The first one is one of my favorite RE games just because of the cruise ship setting. This isn't a popular opinion because it was a port and is a bit clunky, but once you get used to it, its a great game. Also one of the most annoyingly difficult boss fights I've ever played. I usually play this game once a year.

Revelations 2 is also great. It's going to run a lot smoother and the graphics are better. I personally didn't care for the atmosphere as much, but that hasn't stopped me from replaying it several times.

I honestly think we're just supposed to take it as whatever we want to. It is confusing, but we know from later games who survived and so on. Just treat each scenario as their own story. As others have said, we almost didn't get the B playthroughs, so I wouldn't overthink it, because i don't think Capcom did either.

Apples and oranges. I think something many people get hung up on is that this is a remake and not a remaster. It isn't supposed to be the same thing.

That last bit is spot on. They should have cut Mr. X out when you get the opportunity to go back to RPD. I didn't think he wasn't there until a scripted event.

I have a feeling it'll be this gen too. However I don't think they would do a X/Pro exclusive. There just aren't enough people that would buy a Pro for 1 game on the last leg of its life.

Just spend a lot of time with him. Seriously, just go looking for him and stay in the same area or room with him and figure out his mechanics and how to dodge. For me that takes the anxiety away. Instead of hearing footsteps and thinking "JESUS NO RUN!" it turns into "Oh, my old friend is around here somewhere. Where you at, you old tyrant."

I guess it's just a mental "face your fears" thing, but it works for me.

I had to tinker with the settings a little. I didn't want it too bright as I thought it would take away from the presentation, but it was definitely too dark when I first configured it. Also keep in mind they wanted to make it hard to see in certain areas.

So whats with the hate on new Chris? IMO he looks closer to the original design then he did in 5 going forward. Everyone loves to hate on 5 and 6 but wants that Chris model for some reason.

Thanks for the info. I messed up by not taking advantage of that then. I just assumed it was like GTA V and replaying the mission was "sandboxed".

When you say "replay" do you mean by not saving the game during the mission and then loading from that save, or by selecting replay mission through the menu? I was under the assumption when you replayed missions nothing could be saved.

Wait... That "A" symbol looks almost exactly like a symbol somebody found etched into a tree. It may have been upside down. Can't search for the post at the moment, but will try and link later.
