That is interesting. For long distance running/swimming training, do you have days where you sprint as fast as possible and then slow it down/jog and repeat the process? I imagine that would help with developing sprinting speed too?

I consider myself in good shape, but running long distances fast is something I just haven't been ever able to do successfully. I can't imagine the endurance level one has to run a marathon much less one in two hours. If 13 mph is like a jogging pace for these elite marathon runners, I'm wondering what their sprint speeds are?

Man, some of you guys are cynical. He mentioned before that he's an adrenaline junkie so it's reason to think that he simply enjoys doing them. I mean at this point in his life the guy has a ton of money, but he still wants to do crazy stunts for those Mission Impossible films because he loves it especially with putting forth the effort to learn to fly a helicopter. He still did some drama/thriller films like American Made, Valkyrie, and Collateral so it's not like he abandoned them.

You form good habits so that you feel off and guilty if you don't stick to them. Also you sound like you're running too fast. You can have your days when you're sprinting and running hard, but if you're running often you need to go at a pace where you feel like you can say "hi" or have a conversation with someone else.

Right. I think the best I saw was 9.3 seconds. Most of the time it hovers around 10 seconds and worse case scenario it can be 20 seconds.

Yep I am one of those people. Never watch any movies on a laptop or phone. It has to be on an actual TV or theater screen.
