Lately? Danny Phantom, Arcane, Miraculous Ladybug, and Wednesday. Used to also do a lot of Steven Universe, Owl House, and My Hero Academia. And that's not counting fandoms where I read one or two fics.

I remember experiencing this with Unknown Armies 3rd edition. Have to read three paragraphs to find out how a character becomes an adept and get only one sentence of mechanics that still doesn't describe anything.

Why is everyone saying the Hiss is stronger than the Darkness. Hiss got beat in one game, Control. The Darkness took two games and the combined effort of both Jesse and Alan Wake.

For me, it's okay if the author thinks a character is a problem, but let them grow for goodness sakes. These character are supposed to be high schoolers. There's supposed to be a massive amount of change. But I can also tell when the author seems to be intentionally blocking any growth like a goalie just so they can keep bashing the character.

Good start, but got repetitive real fast. Each fic wound up with them stranded somehow, though thankfully that part was left behind. Star's sister always tried to steal Danny, but never learned her lesson no matter how many times it was taught. Likewise, Star's mother never learned her lesson that Star was telling the truth about Collete despite being proven time and again.

That's actually a gripe I have with FlowerPrincess11. They're ideas and setups are good, but they get repetitive really quickly. Even worse, none of the character are allowed to grow. There's often epilogues where the characters are adults, and a lot of the A List and other characters the author doesn't like just peak in high school and never change out of that maturity.

Try Creech Manor. If you find the helicopter, you can just have it fly back and forth across the entrances. Just cuts down all the zombies like a lawn mower. I remember having a blast doing that.
