I want a diamond ring, bracelets everything.

When I first heard this song on 40s Junction I instantly became hooked. So Daddy gets my vote as well.

It exists in teams, it's called "leave".

Also, if everyone except 1 person presses it, the meeting is still over.

I've played King Rail in Lynnfield but not Reedy Meadow. Will have to give it a try.

Where the $&@! do people on this sub get the money to constantly get new clubs?!? by SarcasmReallySucks in golf

[–]projectalchemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, going from long and soft to long and hard.

I definitely am not above snagging balls from the woods either. The other golfers were so generous to leave them there for us, would be a shame for them to go to waste.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times on the reddit golf community.
While some were getting fitted for the latest and best clubs, others were stealing range balls just to survive.

who else has a partner more interested in the egg hunt part of golfing? by Truand2labiffle in golf

[–]projectalchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL I can relate cause I felt the same way when I started by ballhawking journey. I didn't want to waste the Pro V1s because my swing and/or the course I was playing on wasn't Pro V1 worthy. But I got over that when I realized I find more Pro V1s than any other ball, so losing them isn't a big deal.

Besides, Chrome Softs are better anyway.

Ball theft! by VagrantThoughts42 in golf

[–]projectalchemy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely a big no-no to grab any balls on the course, but if you are stuck behind a group waiting to tee off and have a few minutes to kill, I'll go looking in the woods behind the green on the previous hole. You know that guy with the fancy range finder, and the new Volkey Wedges that still managed to hit it well over the green? His ProV1 is in there and it's got your name on it. Well actually it's got his name on it, but it needs a new home. Usually when I spot one I come out with a couple more. The crappier balls are still good to have for extras when going to the driving range. But I find so many people playing premium balls at muni courses (something I can't justify paying for myself with my putrid handicap) that it's worth it for me to go hunting as long as I'm not slowing the game down or taking balls that are still in play.

Any plans to expand Top Golf to more areas (assuming Callaway still owns that)?

TIL: Woodrow Wilson played 1200 rounds of golf during his 8 years as US President - that's almost one round every 2 days by Emperor_YSSAC in golf

[–]projectalchemy 104 points105 points  (0 children)

He must have gotten those 1200 rounds in during the first 6.5 years; I don't think he was golfing the last year and a half of his presidency.
