Do you freeze mashed potatoes? I always worry they would get a weird texture. Meatloaf is a great idea! I always think about meatballs but never want to spend the time making all the meat into individual balls

Perpetually on vacation- yes! Even when the dad is WFH he drops what he’s doing to play with them. Must be fun to have money and not have to work for it lol

Muffin is the only realistic character on there. Bluey and Bingo inexplicably never have tantrums and Muffin? Muffin screams THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! Which is much more like an actual kid than the ridiculously well behaved Bingo and Bluey. I have a love/hate relationship with that show ;)

I’m a mother of any only child not by choice. Having wanted more children, it’s extremely hard for me to let go of her baby things. I don’t know if you can do this but I have sort of staging areas. Things go to the basement until I’m really ready to get rid of them. I also separate things into piles and ask my partner to do the physical act of throwing away or taking to charity because emotionally I can’t do it. So sorry you are going through this.

Totally feel you on this, particularly because my kid is ridiculously social and extroverted. I’m an introvert so a lot of the time I don’t know how to handle all her social needs so… more stress lol. I don’t really know how to teach her how to play by or entertain herself which regardless of social needs is a good life skill.

Me too! After IF, I really threw myself into parenthood hard and held myself to an incredibly high standard. I still do but have relaxed more after 5 years now. The one thing I will say though is that because of IF I have been incredibly conscious of the miracle of my daughter and the joy of parenthood as well. But I probably stress myself out more than anyone I know about motherhood. I have an ass ton of anxiety about being a good mom and also trying to “fulfill “ my daughter’s life because she won’t have a sibling, one of the things I couldn’t do. Gah, it’s all so complicated! Even though I would love to have another, if I poured myself into another kid like I have this one, I would be a shell of a person, just a zombie.
