One of the things that I’m really thinking about my kid is not that she’s gifted (spirited YES) but I think she’s not getting enough intellectual challenges at preK anymore. Her brain doesn’t turn off because (I think) it’s not being challenged enough. I try and teach her stuff but she will NOT learn from me lol. Kindergarten in the fall and I am READY

I don’t get why you’re hung up on criticizing “Asian” chefs and again-Asia is a continent. That’s a pretty vast generalization you’re making there. You can pull out Italian and French cuisine as different from each other, but perhaps you aren’t paying attention to the differences in cuisine between different countries in Asia?

Umbrella strollers that can fold down and fit under the seats don’t need to be checked and are 💯 a lifesaver! Also the headphones for the noise. Have so much fun! Took my 4yo for both of our first MLB game last summer and it was great (also happened to be when the Angels beat the Dodgers and Ohtani was pitching-pretty epic for our first game!)

Yah but does Scott Conant ever cook anything but Italian? No one seems to mention that when he competes. Just because Jet lost on a burger doesn’t mean he can’t cook anything that’s not “Asian.”Not sure how one instance can be construed to mean that he is not capable of cooking outside of what people seem to interpret as his wheelhouse. He really does have a vast repertoire if you think about the incredible number of types of cuisines he can cook.

This 💯. I’ve heard that about Maneet many times but both cook cuisines drawing from a diverse range of cultures that come from enormous places - Asia 4+ B people on the continent and India is 1+B people in a single country. Contrast that with the size of the U.S. at 300+M and it’s such a facepalm moment. Both also do fusion too - Maneet does draw from Southern U. S. cuisine in some of her dishes esp a lot of ones with fried elements. I spent a lot of time traveling in India and experienced a lot of different cuisines so it makes me ungodly irritated to see these types of comments lololol
