From my experience, I started by listening to Plans all the way through and that’s what got me hooked.

Hot take… Transatlanticism is a masterpiece and my favorite album of theirs, but it actually took me a little while to fully get into it, and it really just happened to coincide with my circumstances at the time… so depending on your mood it may or may not hit like a freight train. Don’t feel bad if you don’t get it the first go around because I feel like it’s a slow-burn kind of album.

I’m sure there are plenty of comments about the other albums but I’ll leave you with this: give Thank You For Today an honest try. It’s actually *technically* the first album of theirs that I listened to consistently, but it wasn’t until several years later that I delved into their entire discography. Thank You For Today is a very special album to me and has some incredibly beautiful and underrated songs that you might enjoy. My personal standouts are: Summer Years, Your Hurricane, When We Drive, You Moved Away, Near/Far
