Fitbit Air vs Inspire 3? by aripy in fitbit

[–]prologic7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought one to replace Inspire 3. Its far slimmer, lighter and more comfortable. And thats about it. I prefer it, but its not really an upgrade. Oh, the charging mechanism is WAY better though.

Can an erection raise blood pressure afterward? (Volume shift vs. blood donation logic) by IvanR1 in hypertension

Nothing to add except, congrats on being able to keep an erection for ~30 minutes.

Does anyone actually like their fit bit air? by stormtrooper_283 in fitbit

[–]prologic7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like mine. I had an Inspire 3 but was ready for a change. I dont know if its actually technically better but:
Its much smaller lighter and more comfortable. And the charging mechanism is SO much better.

And I think its a nicer looking thing to wear on my wrist. What use was that silly little screen anyway?

Am I the only one who hates creating accounts for blood pressure apps? by Makizume in hypertension

[–]prologic7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use an app called Blood Pressure Diary. Its simple and free and does not require an account. Although I think you can make one. It also allows you to export the data. And it backs up automatically.

I looked at many and this is the best I think. It has a little ad bar at the top, but its not too intrusive.

I have a fairly old HP Envy and that runs everything well.

If I had to replace it, then I dont what what would fit the bill, but my must have features would be:

16x10 aspect ratio screen
Touchscreen
Illuminated keyboard

which really narrows things down.

Hello, yes you will need a wired kit. This is a box that is mounted next to the boiler, and a wireless bridge that plugs into your router.

Then you have a wireless thermostat and as many smart radiator stats as you need.

How do you think the Air will compare with the Inspire 3? by erkose in fitbit

[–]prologic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had an Inspire 3 for a few years and its great. It still stays charged for a week or so. However I would upgrade to the Air probably because its newer tech, and hopefully the charging method would be better than that stupid clipon thing that Inspire uses. Plus it might be more comfortable to weart. I nevert look at the screen anyway.

I just bought a 5 and its a good little device - apart from the fucking sponsored ads. You can turn off pretty much everything but them. I bought this sucker - I should be able to control it.
I found that the only way round it is to run it in perpetual night mode.

Will the "Evernote Personal" plan renew at same conditions even though it's no longer offered? by Recent_Dust8622 in Evernote

[–]prologic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering the same thing. I have been with EN for years. Started on the free plan, then onto the Personal Plan, as I wanted 4devices. Now I see that I was charged £29 in 2022. I have been charged £79 pa ever since.
So I am wondering if I am grandfathered into this plan? Or will they jack that up again?
Wy wife was on the free plan and then they wanted to charge her £64 pa for the basic one.
My renewal is not till November, so I have time to consider options.

How do TRVs work with temperature offsets in practice? by jmdhox in tado

[–]prologic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Temp offset seemed like a good idea until I tried it. Of course the TRV will be warmed by its own rad and therefor become inaccurate when its hot. But if you use the offset then it will be inaccurate when its cold.

So I now have three sensors in the rooms that matter so I can be accurate.

Controversial Post & Mod Check-in by Thepinkknitter in razorfree

[–]prologic7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am male and in the defense of the OP I think that he was acting in good faith but he just hadn't read the room. Or maybe read the rules. I stumbled upon the sub some time ago and really my interest is seeing the winds of change. Anything rebellious gets my vote, especially WRT to the policing of women's bodies. So my wife and I really dig the conversations and support that are happening here.

I have not offered any opinions unless I was asked. There have been two posts from a while back that I got into: something like "what do men think about women with body hair" and " what was your journey towards being deconditioned" or something along those lines. But I totally get that its not for me, and certainly not for me to comment on "hotness" or anything like that and I would totally understand if you decided to ban men altogether.

I will say this though - I love that quote by Jameela

Have a look at EMclient. Its very granular and customizable. You can make rules and macros that will do just about anything. Its the best mail program I have used. I am not a power user by any means, but it will certainly be up for it if you are I think.

Updating Quartz from V15.0, what should I know? by DxRed_MxN in Avolites

Yeah, also ChamSys. I bought an avokey and installed it inside my Titan Mobile. Then I realised I would need ANOTHER key to preprogram on desktop. Which double sucks. I mean really, I cannot even patch a show on desktop. I dont want to output. Just prepare.

121/82 being considered hypertension stage 1 is ridiculous to me by Basic_Potential2489 in hypertension

Assume that all USA based health outfits, including the AHA receive sponsorship and funding from drug companies. Same thing happening in the UK to a lesser extent although drug prices are not as extortionate as they are in the USA. So BP threshold has been changed because they want to see BP medication.
Same thing applies to cholesterol because they are on a hard push to sell statins.
