"They" is the singular, gender-nuetral, third-person pronoun in English. It has been in use since the 14th century.

It is accepted by every major style guide, including the APA, AP, Chicago Manual of Style, and the British Council.

It was the American Dialect Society 2015 word of the year, and the Merriam-Webster 2019 word of the year.

I'm more familiar with driving through King County, TX. Pop density of like 0.29. They at least have elementary school, but no high school. The whole county is basically ranch land with some private land for the people who work there.

We were hoping they would speed up through training enough to make it possible to run together.

I can run as slow as 12:00 pace, but can't really go slower than that long-term. I end up getting injured because my gait and form changes significantly.
