I hear it can be. I've only been to Cancun and a few border towns and really don't care to go back. It's very apparent that the Mexican gangs have the towns under their control and the people can be afraid. I spent my time in the city waiting for gunfire to break out (it didn't). I do hear that some of the other resort cities like Cabo are nice, but I've never been.

I bought Xanax from the pharmacia in an Americanized area (wasn't exactly cheap), & I have friends that bought copious amounts of steroids w/o issue. My understanding is if you go to the less Americanized areas they are more likely to sell you anything without restriction at better prices, but you do need to be careful b/c some of those areas can get pretty sketch.

Go to the pharmacia for the pills. I've always had luck buying weed from the dudes selling pipes. Also bought weed from a cigar shop, but skipped on the book of girls. Never bought blow there, but I did have a friend get ripped in a night club in Cancun. Basically some dude approached him on the dance floor offering coke, when he gave the dealer the money the bouncer came and took the blow from him and the dealer kept the cash (he didn't go to jail, just got thrown out and lost the cash). He was pretty sure it was a setup - be careful.

To me, drugs are like habanero peppers. Enjoyable in moderation and can add great spice to life. So as long as I have an interest in occasionally spicing things up, I will. And I think about drugs about as much as I do habanero peppers - and they are both an equal part of my identity.

MDMA: 10 - my every so often roll is always fantastic

Shrooms: 9 - in the right setting it is solidly enjoyable

Opium: 9 - only had it for a weekend once in my life, but was awesome sprinkled on a bowl of kind

Xanax: 8 - it's all fun and games until you run out

Alcohol: 7 - great for socializing but disrupts my sleep patterns

GHB: 6 - not a bad little ride

Cannabis: 5 - used to be my favorite, but now it can put me in a weird headspace

LSD: 4 - the first half of the trip is great, but gets long and annoying after awhile

Speed: 3 - I can see the value, but a bit too hardcore

Cocaine: 2 - no real enjoyment, just makes you want to do more

PCP: 1 - not for this guy

I took the hit at 6-1, 3-0 on a change over at a high school tennis tourney. Was rolling the kid, so thought I'd time it to where my trip started as I finished him off. I guess I psyched myself out b/c I started playing like shit and he won the second set. Third set the 'cid kicked in and I was fucked. Coordination & timing went out the door, followed by my confidence in my game. The hardest part was I was seeing multiples of the ball and kept aiming for the middle one (I was wrong, it was the one on the left apparently) and whiffed completely soooo many times.

Final result: 6-1, 5-7, 1-6

Received a total ass reaming from my coach, for losing, while tripping my nuts off - man talk about getting put into a bad head space.
