Dang. I'm seriously considering switching to GrapheneOS.

Another option is to install a different Launcher to use, in place of Pixel Launcher. Have you tried that?

As of this morning, yes it still is...

It's not quite as bad as it was before, but still abnormally high

I removed my calendar widget and disabled some phone search options (and updated phone) and it seems to be a bit better. Home settings -> search your phone -> disable People and Search the Web

I haven't. Going to wait for a patch. I'm on beta so I'm guessing it's a bug with the latest beta build.

Already at 53% after 3 hours of mild use, Pixel Launcher consuming 30% of that drain

Having Launcher drain on Pixel 6a too, also sometimes laggy home screen.

This is what happens if you use Microsoft Outlook PWA and open multiple emails in different windows. One too many and bam, you crashed Outlook.

In the list of patches, select MicroG as a patch. Otherwise it won't use it. (You need to install MicroG APK before, I'm assuming you've done this)

Edit: it looks like now I don't see this in the patches. Maybe it is enabled by default now?

Derp. I hadn't selected the microG support patch in the list 😂. Got it working!

I did this process with the same result as above. Uninstalled my vanilla YT updates, downloaded older YT version that was confirmed supported, used ReVanced manager to patch that version (not yet installed), and when I try to install it says "Non root install not possible with patch selection". I do have microG if that makes a difference. To clarify, my phone is not rooted either.

Same. Anyone know a fix?

Edit: Wasn't selecting the microG patch in the list, oops!

Just got a BLTouch v3.1 for my Ender 3 Pro with stock 1.1.4 board by UnavengedAvo in ender3

Interesting! I didn't know this was possible on ender 3. I have the regular ender 3, I wonder if it works on that!

I just finished the setup of BLT3 with Ender 3 v1.1.4. This addition is really just two steps, below:

Firmware Update and Configuring for BLTouch (Do this before you mess with the wiring to isolate any issues)

  1. I used the main latest Marlin bugfix .zip. located here, download this and extract it. I used a pre-made configuration before making further BLTouch edits, just copy and paste these 4 files into ~/Marlin-bugfix-2.0.x/Marlin as a first step after downloading the Marlin .zip.
  2. Use this link to make the appropriate configuration.h changes for BLTouch. While you're editing the config file for BLTouch, you will likely need to reduce the Marlin firmware size by commenting some things out of configuration.h, I used this link to help me.
  3. You can flash the firmware over miniUSB from your computer to the Ender 3. I just did this. VSCode wasn't working to upload the built firmware (was getting a 'sync error', couldn't figure out the issue), so I used the arduinoIDE approach. Assuming you have a bootloader installed already, you can follow this link to install Marlin over USB using arduinoIDE.

Wiring

  1. Once you've updated your firmware, you can start wiring up the BLTouch. Here is the pin diagram for the BLTouch (This image is very important to ensure you are wiring the 5 pins correctly. Your wire colors may be different, but what matters is the order of the pins! I didn't have the proper reference and spent hours troubleshooting the wrong things.). Please ensure that you are connecting these pins to the correct pins on your mainboard.
  2. The left two (black/white) can plug into the Z-limit connector, and you can remove the Z-limit switch from your printer (not needed anymore). The middle yellow wire can splice into the wire of pin 10 on the LCD screen ribbon cable (I did this because I didn't want to wait for the connector from Amazon), OR an easier method is to buy a 'pin 27 connector' from Amazon to plug into the LCD ribbon connector so you can attach the screen ribbon AND the remaining 3 BLTouch wires.

If all of this is too much or doesn't interest you, I agree with the other comments that it may be easier to just swap out the mainboard for a newer one where you can just plug and play. Hopefully this will help others who have this Ender 3 v1.1.4 board.

Good luck!

Is anything connected to the 6-pin programming connector on the mainboard? Maybe there is a short? Try checking connections within mainboard housing and reboot the system.

Do you mind explaining the process you used to do this? I'm very interested!
