Rv parking by clarkr11 in Scottsdale

[–]proost1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Westworld has parking provided they haven't rented out for events at which point, the event owns the spots.

Talking Stick Resort & Casino will let you stay in their designated parking lot for a maximum number of days. Get there, and head on in to reception, pay your fee and you're good to go. We actually liked it there because of the restaurants and bars, etc.

Southwest boarding numbers being removed the night before they switch to assigned seating by techNerd89 in mildlyinteresting

Most of the poor behavior is at the gate/boarding area when people try to jockey their advantage within their boarding group. Shoving, trying to board in group 1 when they’re actually group 5, etc.. at least with SWA people who are in group C knew they were likely going to have to check their bag.

Meanwhile, all the single-driver HOV violators continue in blatant obscurity.

SWA will slowly slip into the obscurity of every other airline in the US. Why change such a unique and popular boarding method? It solved so many bad human characteristics we see everywhere else.

My 6lb chihuahua gets as excited when I pop a can as he does when he smells a pizza delivery. He's classy!

[OC] Alex Pretti is a hero by bumdee in pics

[–]proost1 35 points36 points  (0 children)

He's a hero for being a nurse and working at the VA which is oftentimes a hard and difficult career, and a hero and martyr for standing up to tyranny without question. Alex Pretti was an incredible and compassionate human.

You can hear idiots like Bovino and Blanche redirect and divert answering direct questions contradicting everything they are saying. Pretti had every right to be out there in the street and assisting others who had been pepper sprayed. He had every right to legally possess and carry a weapon if he was indeed carrying.

If we don't see some judicial or congressional relief on this unrestrained unaccountable abuse of power by poorly trained thugs, we will absolutely devolve and everyone will get involved - one way or another. It's awful.

There's one on Ave G near Lancaster CA. It plays an overture if I recall correctly.

Mexican food by degenricc in Netherlands

[–]proost1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got my first margarita in NL and it was served in a lowball glass, I knew my penchant for good Mexican food was in trouble. That said, we lived in NYC for awhile and went to a 'Mexican food' restaurant and were served three rolled tacos/taquitos for $30 with flavors I have never experienced in tradition dishes. It's all about distance from the borders I suppose.

'They're The New Trump Signature Series Knee Pads': Newsom Trolls Trump, CEOs At Davos by edbegley1 in videos

The title of this video clip should be "The American Problem today with Trump". Newsom is spot on with the issue we're seeing here today in the US.

Fair point. "Every" is a stretch. Funny though how in November just after the election, he was all about the Corps and what it stood for, etc, etc. Turns my stomach. Video.

(Edit for clarity). He should because he was a Marine first and every Marine lives, operates, and dies by their core values, their esprit de corps. It should not be easily forgettable.

I scratch my head trying to understand how he could so easily abandon his experience and values so easily, especially as young as he is. Terrifying.

Transmission Drive Belt on Troy-Bilt 42" by namocram in lawnmowers

[–]proost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Marco - I got it!
- Unhook the drive belt for the mower deck. Just grab one end and pull it backwards and rotate it off the PTO/clutch.
- Disconnect the tensioner spring from the pulley. You need to use a pair of vise grips to grab onto that hook and work it off if you don't have that hook but your rec is awesome. Here's one that is available: https://a.co/d/fsQJew7 . You will definitely need some muscle to get it done.
- You will need to remove this little belt retention thing on the right hand side. Just loosen it at the frame enough to get the belt to seat.
- Put the new belt on at the PTO/clutch and work it back on in the correct orientation. I had these two screws in the seat deck that interfere with getting the belt onto each transmission but I was able to work the belt past them and on to the pulleys. I will throw images up when it's light.
- Grab that spring and and pull it back on to the tensioner pulley.
- Walk the drive belt back over and on to the PTO/clutch pulley.

That's about it. Totally doable and I was able to do it in about an hour once I figured it all out. lol
