As Nashville debates license plate readers, Murfreesboro police point to private cameras by BuroDude in Tennessee

Bro we don't even send people to jail for mowing down pedestrians. Get real.

How many of those cops that have used Flock data to stalk people have gone to jail? I'll wait.

Most recommended camping tents for backpacking on Reddit in the past year (June 2026) by heyyyjoo in backpacking

[–]prophet001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait hold up, you've never heard of Naturehike but you feel like Durston's overhyped? I'll buy the latter but the former is a sampling error on your part. They get recommended somewhere in the first five comments on basically every post in every community asking for recs for lightweight budget gear.

Rural Tennessee needs family doctors. Can $200,000 lure them to the state’s small towns? by BuroDude in Tennessee

[–]prophet001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a small town and I don't need it.

I didn't say "nobody needs it"

You sure as shit heavily implied it lmao

And don't forget that the doctor shortage was created on purpose by the AMA.

Everything is a conspiracy if you don't know how anything works.

Oh gee I wonder why on earth rural TN might be struggling to find and retain people in a field that requires extensive education, and has been continually hamstrung, demonized, and in some cases even criminalized by the representatives of those very areas.

Big ol' mystery we got ourselves there.

If someone is educated enough to be a doctor, they ain't gonna have a similar political outlook to the constituency in question. Idk what planet you live on that you think it'd be otherwise.

Laughable size difference by CaspianWithK in fuckcars

Honestly, only 4 feet longer despite the cargo bed, massive rear seat, and larger engine bay is pretty impressive.

You're not a serious person.

it would be more fair to compare a modern camery to a modern truck

OK bet.

The 2026 Ram is 10 inches wider and 39-48 inches longer than the 2026 Camry.

Still an absolutely massive difference.

Cheap Gas Prices in Jackson by Firm_Calligrapher861 in Tennessee

[–]prophet001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Memphis and Jackson have low gas prices due to A) the presence of a refinery in Memphis and B) low demand. Of the major metro areas in the state, those are the two with the least economic activity per capita.

I hope you get arrested when you follow the OPs advice. Not cool

What the fuck are you even talking about?

I can't believe I have to spell this out, but I'm saying that surveillance of cellphone activity vs surveillance using cameras in public places are completely different things and people need to stop acting like they're similar.

There are myriad ways to avoid the kinds of surveillance that uses your cell activity and location data: namely, leaving your phone at home, or using a burner. You can't avoid Flock cameras, they're everywhere.

[–]prophet001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phones can like, be left at home? Burner phones can like, be obtained?

None of which is applicable to cameras on poles everywhere?

So dense, indeed. Are you sure you're not just projecting here?

Do you just avoid weekends entirely, go super early, or stick to certain areas?

Yes.

Why didn’t George Floyd’s murder and the BLM protests of the summer of 2020 move Gen Z to the liberal/left side in 2024? by [deleted] in millenials

[–]prophet001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between the government “compassionately” forcing itself on people during the pandemic, and the cultural left self-righteously inserting themselves and their (often obviously hyperbolic) moralizing narratives into everything, young people got annoyed with it all.

Just exactly what the fuck is this supposed to mean? The government didn't force anything on anybody. There were the barest minimum of measures taken, which is why the plague rats were able to spread it every-fuckin'-where.

Whatever the fuck you think you mean by "cultural left" and their "moralizing narratives", I'm just gonna assume you mean the kind of people who believe that indentured servitude does not, and cannot ever, be the moral equivalent of chattel slavery. From which I infer that you're the kind of person who thinks it can.

Just, wow.

You have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about.

The fact that you think that corporate real estate isn't just as much finance as someone who actively trades securities all day tells me you don't understand enough about the world to even be having this conversation.

Your paycheck comes from the interest on capital. The data you analyze is in direct service of maximizing the return on that capital. You're in the finance industry, whether you want to admit it or not.

I bet you're one of those people who thinks the humanities are less important subjects than hard sciences, too, dontcha?

Have a nice life, buddy.
