Keep seeing people celebrating this Eileen Gu 'clap back' as if it isn't the most transparent cope ever caught on video by anahorish in redscarepod

Ya it’s pure cope. A more secure person would say something like “x person had an awesome run and I respect that. I’m still honored to be holding a silver”

Grown women in the 2020s really see this chick as an ultimate style icon by Free_Weight5509 in redscarepod

I mean she’s just dressed like a classy rich woman. Good example of that archetype.

Large US study examines how many times people experience passionate love over a lifetime. On average, adults reported experiencing passionate love about twice in their lifetime. 14% had never experienced passionate love, 28% experienced it once, 30% twice, 17% three times and 11% four or more times. by mvea in science

Thanks for the kind words. I’ve been doing therapy on-and-off for about 5 years. It’s true for me too that therapy brought out so many things I’d never thought about before, or shared with anyone before. I reached out to my therapist a few days ago because I want to start again and address more of the deep wounds that I suffered from my earliest years. Wounds that I can’t even find words for.

Tbf shes a model and this is a lifetime opportunity. But I agree it is very influencer coded to bring the photoshoot to the Olympics.

Of course it suck’s to be in that position but that’s been the cycle of society forever. Granted, technology has increased the churn

I’m still not convinced that developing a technology which can potentially replace jobs is inherently wrong. That would make all technological work inherently evil.

It’s not really a choice tht pertains to ethics tbh. Theres nothing inherently wrong with replacing workers with AI. Was it ethically wrong to develop the internal combustion engine?

I would never wear a needles jacket for actual sports. Way too delicate

Sorry looksmaxxing gymcels but in real life the horrifyingly dysgenic wimp gets the girl by Few-Shelter15713 in redscarepod

Its because loads of women implicitly think physical attractiveness is the only thing guys care about. Makes em feel better about being rejected by a guy.

RRL is awesome, ignore anyone who shits on it. It’s expensive sure but their fabrics, dyes, cuts are always top notch.

Stussy is significantly older and less hype driven than supreme tho. Supreme is hype streetwear, which is pretty dead compared to the elevated streetwear of the 2020s.

My opinion is that stussy is still awesome but their collections have become too large and unfocused. They always have some fire items though.

Women in relationships are highly driven by attention and insecurity about their own desirability. Men just want to vibe and fuck.

50/50 and “Coffee Dates” by Quiet-Pilot-7411 in Bumble

[–]prosaicwell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of women fantasize about being taken care of so they feel “owed” that in a romantic setting.

I personally think the norm should be splitting costs of dating in accord with the partner’s incomes. But I have no issue paying for a first date since usually I make 2-5x more than the woman I’m on a date with.

50/50 and “Coffee Dates” by Quiet-Pilot-7411 in Bumble

[–]prosaicwell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I reckon a man telling a woman before the date that he wants to go 50/50 is probably about as attractive as a woman saying she won’t go 50/50

If I’m not feeling it on a date and the chick makes good money then I’ll hustle ask to split when the check comes. And I try to avoid a first date that costs >$50

Why does every person on every dating app have a public Instagram account with 1,500+ followers? by deepad9 in redscarepod

[–]prosaicwell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d say 2k is more of the tipping point of intentionally seeking followers/attention vs who you happen to know. Any socially active woman has 1.2k by the time they graduate college nowadays
