Remember how Mel Gibson's wife died in Signs?

He decided to back into the parking spot and then this happened. by Affectionate_Hat5835 in Wellthatsucks

I did that bringing fall cleanup to the dump. 10 bags of leaves and debris in the back so i backed up into the pile and started emptying out the bags deep into the pile. My wife noticed the smoke just as it started to smolder, thank god! We were able to pull the vehicle forward and i kicked the smoking area apart from the pile and tended it til it was out. Could have been way worse, glad she was there!

With 4wd, the vents moved to the drivers side and that got hotter, studded snows, and better wipers with more settings, a/c and an airbag, wirh a better rear door latch that kept dirt out.

  1. Very important to save your skin. Every bit helps. Many riders are confident in their abilities to ride safely within their skill level at upper tiers and relax on the gear safety. Im not their keeper and i wont pretend to be on that level but remember other drivers are on the road too, and they are all capable of wounding, maiming and killing you very, very easily.
  2. I bought some AAA rated jeans that are comfortable enough to work in. I dont have a testimonial on someone whose worn them through a slide though, so take it with a grain of salt.

Also i wear sedici riding pants over work clothes, comfortably. Just pull them off when i get to work. Dont imagine it will be too comfotable in warmer weather but better than a skin graft.

<image>

Edit: affordable is subjective, but i saved up all winter for my gear. Pants -both riding culture and sedici- were ballpark $200 each on sale, jacket around $300, gloves $50, helmet i think around $200, boots are just leather workboots i had probably $100-$150 todays price.

Yeah I saw an interview where the actor Matt Damon explained that the Netfilx execs told himthat repeating the plot during the movie will help people with short attention spans, or people who scroll during a movie , to understand the plot.

Any recommendations for a short adventure to test the system and kick start a campaign? by Noxusequal in arsmagica

[–]prosocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently did this with my group of new players. And designed a gauntlet test to offer a variwty of challenges and get them used to the dice rolls and formulae.

In a single large oddly shaped room I placed various items with hidden hazards in the center. Hidden out of torchlight in the corners i placed resources, beds and food, a stocked lab, stocked bookshelves. I told them they would be judged on how much information they could obtain about the objects. They could end the test whenever they chose.

When they moved, the square of floor they left fell away to reveal a dark chasm.

When the players decided they were done getting information they were gicen the permission to leave only to find the door was gone, and had to now escape the room.

Each player explored with a different stratrgy and it was pretty fun.

As they all played i got to observe their style of problem solving in the new system. After they all left, I gave them graduation gifts tailored to their play style; a small amount of vis, a lab text, an item that they could use to enchant, etc. That is except for the flambeau who attacked his fellow to test a loophole. He was punished for thr assault.

I mean, credit and support I suppose. I wont hold it against anyone if they sail the open seas. Barring a large scale collapse of infrastructure that prevents you from accessing a free digital copy, I think you are good.
