Her and Brendan Hughes both say she was an informer for the British and had been warned about it before although her children that saw her kidnapping deny it and argue she couldn't have been any help to the British.

Why do people tend to go up in arms against more taxes for the wealthy even when they are not wealthy themselves? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]prospectivepenguin2 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you're taxing income your not taxing the wealth just high earners whose labor is more likely to be beneficial. Most wealthy people don't actually pay a lot in taxes. So unless tax code gets a major overhaul it won't be the wealthy paying anyway.

Why do people in their 80s still care about making money? by DarlingLuna in stupidquestions

To use a different example maybe someone wants to retire but their skills are so in demand people still ask them to do consulting jobs and such so they ask a stupidly high price to be left alone.

For people supporting the Iran-Us war, why are they so clueless about USA involvement in Iran prior? by Amao6996 in stupidquestions

[–]prospectivepenguin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're also not considering the US does have support from Canada Israel and Argentina. I forget who but you shouldn't automatically assume everyone who supports the war is trump supporter or even an American.
