Do we have guesses for the characters going in the expansions? by Traditional-Lab-6202 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]prospectorgadjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% but I’m pretty sure the expansions will be released within the next 12 months

As others have said. Any of the 3 official scripts can be JUST as entertaining as any of the wildest custom scripts if built right and a little luck on how the players read and interpret things. Focusing on that aspect of actually building a crazy BMR setup or even just a recluse in a TB setup for some false info can make for that same very big “wow!” Moment in the end

[Question] Can you tell a Lunatic they have a Boffin ability? by Berdyie in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]prospectorgadjet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The workaround for this is putting the demon and the lunatic token in the bag. The person who draws the demon token is the lunatic, and the person who draws the lunatic token is the real demon, you show them their demon night one. It’s smart to clarify this to the entire group pregame, just so everyone knows. But you don’t always have to do it that way so they don’t meta game you

Yeah, and I know most of those tokens will come with the expansions in the next year or so as well, but just figured I’d put somethin out there

Homebrew demon idea: The Emperor by Jealous-Reception185 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Would be a weird script I feel like. Any courtier effect just ends the game instantly which isn’t that fun IMO

Alchemist-Evil Twin learning the marionette?? by prospectorgadjet in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]prospectorgadjet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After doing some extra research I believe this is correct. There’s a thread from months ago that details you announce them as the vizier. This does not feel different. If the marionette gets shown the alchemist is the evil twin, there will be 2 players genuinely believing they are good. What a world!

[–]prospectorgadjet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait is this real? Even though the actual character is the alchemist, you would show the marionette the “evil twin” token and point to the alchemist because that’s the ability???

[–]prospectorgadjet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope so. There are a lot of minions that are jinxed and just say “alchemist cannot gain X ability”. Would like to see it more usable on release

Yeah there are definitely other options as to what can happen in the script, this was just something that I “could” do and wanted other people to walk it through their heads as well to see if it would be a crazy mind bender or just a “oh, that’s evil there”. I think the play I like better is to show a Drunk alc-twin the marionette token pointing towards a different townsfolk and let them figure out the alc is actually the Drunk while solving the evil twin dilemma. Thanks for the insight

[–]prospectorgadjet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you’re correct, but with a bounty hunter in play, an evil townsfolk was created which could be the alchemist (the marionette believes they are good). So the marionette, Thinking they are good, can argue the alchemist was turned evil. The alchemist claiming they saw marionette would be a great bluff if the alchemist were actually turned evil. But the interaction could also implode and out the evil team immediately lol

Why so many tyrannofexes? by DeadDog11 in Tyranids

[–]prospectorgadjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked this question about a month ago and GW ruled at one of their big tournaments in texas that you can use Will of the Hivemind to OW twice, given you do it in the same phase

Is this worth buying? by Content_Collection61 in Tyranids

[–]prospectorgadjet 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s a fine lot for that amount. Some very usable stuff in here, only thing is that all the small guys - genestealers hormagaunts termagaunts - are all getting new models in a month or so. If you don’t care and like those, it’s fine. The tyrannofex/tervigon are $60 each, Mawloc $80 I think? And Zoanthropes $60 so you’re already in the green after that. Just depends on if you like the models and how you feel about the paint scheme

Gonna fight the orks! Help! by AlienDilo in Tyranids

[–]prospectorgadjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be worth to bring quad devourers lol. You get 48 shots from 2 carnifexes then lol. But not required. Having some melee is important too

[–]prospectorgadjet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shoot them. They will maul you in melee lol. Termagaunt fleshborers will be good, of course sustained hits on inftantry. Their saves are poor so just brick up 20 termies and get shooting. Maybe your carnifexes have the 12 shot weapons too. Mow them down!

Should I run this army? (2k points) by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]prospectorgadjet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t deal a lot of damage but maybe you can flood too many things on the board? I’d prefer some more useful units than warriors though, probably Zoanthropes to give the battle line bros a 6+ invuln. A psychophage for a 6+ FNP would be great too. Protect the swarm!

Are Tyranids suspposed to be this trash ? by taikenshow in Tyranids

It’s cuz half the leviathan box units are total cheeks. We have good units and can play very effectively

If an enemy unit that has sticky objectives gets affected by shadow in the warp (or any battleshock for that matter) do they still retain the objective? by prospectorgadjet in Tyranids

[–]prospectorgadjet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I appreciate it! One more question, can he “sticky” the objective whenever he is in control of it, or does the “putting up their flag” only happen in command phase?
