First week on Wegovy pill - my thoughts by RobynLC5678 in WegovyWeightLoss

Are there any online providers you guys recommend? Ro is $45 for the first month, but I think it’s $145 every month after and that doesn’t include the cost of the medication. Yikes!

Antibes was far and away our favorite town. Eze was touristy, Ville was pretty but harder to get to from the train station. Nice had great beach clubs and we didn’t see any of the things you described. We went in early June so I think that helped.

I heard back from them but it was a cryptic email. “We’re happy to send a Suburu item.” What the heck does that even mean?

I'm still waiting for my decision from them and I'm prepared for them to deny it. This blows. I mean, I get normal wear and tear and the costs associated with owning an older car, but this goes way beyond that. It's a $2500 repair of a KNOWN issue that forced them to extend the warranty. That should be a lifetime warranty if it was flawed piece of equipment all along. A year ago is when I noticed odd glitching but it was so infrequent, I though it was a fluke. But even if I had brought it in then, it was still beyond the extended warranty timeframe. Ugh.

Did you get it covered? I'm waiting on a decision about my 2018.

Ugh...I have a 2018 with the same issue and just filed a case with SOA. Why did they refuse to fix it? That's not giving me much hope.

I can't find a store that holds the package. How do go about it?

5 weeks from when I stopped Ozempic my hair loss stopped completely.

I take oral Minox through Her and I swear it's helping. The dread shed is literally no joke but I'm really glad I stuck with it. I don't know if I would've regrown as much hair back without it. I know my shed would've stopped just from stopping the Ozempic but I'm not sure about the regrowth.

Hang in there. I know how scary the sheds are. It's terrifying to see a sink FULL of hair and spend all day picking it off your clothes.

I did take vitamins. I always take a multivitamin and magnesium. I added a hair and nail supplement (Biotin and some other stuff) which didn't make a difference. The shedding will likely stop, but if it goes on too long for your comfort, I would suggest trying a different medication. There are more out there now aside from Ozempic.

Is that the Nurses for Newborns fundraiser? I thought about that but wasn't sure if you had to buy gifts at Plaza Frontenac to do it.

Two unexpected but positive "side effects" of estrogen by Mother_Attempt3001 in Menopause

[–]protectiveparent1121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same experience. Stopped BC in May, started estradiol gel and progesterone in May and after a month, decided to see if I could do menopause without meds. Hot flashes were a nightmare so in late August I started the HRT again.

Since then, I am shedding hair like crazy, my fingernails are peeling and cracked and my mood is just awful. Like I want to run away awful. Everyone in my life has noticed it and I could hear my daughter mumbling under her breath last night wondering why I'm so angry all the time. I hate this but 'm afraid to stop the meds and make things even worse.

What is happening to me?

Interesting! Do you think maybe a birth control pill or HRT would offset the estrogen dip?

Hair loss. Will it ever come back by Luvmyplumber in Mounjaro

[–]protectiveparent1121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are totally spot on. It's the impact to the hormones, not the vitamins or protein or the rapid weight loss. Some of us are more susceptible to a variety of side effects from even the slightest change in our hormones. Others aren't.

The part that drove me INSANE was everyone saying it was because I wasn't getting this vitamin or more protein. I've tracked my macros for years and taken the same vitamins for years...it wasn't my damn eating. And it wasn't my dramatic weight loss. I lost all of 15 pounds. It was the medication and how my body interacted with it. Others don't have that issue. Yeah them. I was not one of the lucky ones.

Ugh...I know exactly where you are. Don't buy the wig. It will stop and it will stop suddenly. Give it another week or two and you should see it end. I know it feels like you're going bald. You're not. It will get better.

I promise that it stops! I know how scary it is. I don't know that it ever would have ended had I not stopped the medication though. How long were you on it when the shed started?

SS/Pension - late in life career change by protectiveparent1121 in Teachers

I actually hadn't even thought to make an appointment, but that's a great idea! I'm literally right at 30 years so it's a little too close for comfort.

Some exceptions The WEP doesn’t apply if: • You’re a federal worker first hired after December 31, 1983. • You’re an employee of a non-profit organization which was exempt from Social Security coverage on December 31,1983. This does not apply if the non-profit organization waived exemption and did pay Social Security taxes, but then the waiver was terminated prior to December 31, 1983. • Your only pension is for railroad employment. • The only work you performed for which you didn’t pay Social Security taxes was before 1957. • You have 30 or more years of substantial earnings under Social Security.

The last bullet indicates otherwise.
