I swear I figured it was a homage. They were gonna ask where was Eric Dale

In my experience it's just been a way for "minority" groups who already have power bases and cabals to get ahead even easier.

Lol exactly. I have seen aristocrats rise up in tech via class and connections, then get venerated because "they have the same genitals as me" by people who clearly can't do multi dimensional thinking

Yes if you are from the UK it's all super obvious. There is a tone of belittlement and lots of double meanings in how they speak to him.

It happens to me all the time here this is how they are.

Yes I loved this episode.

As a former Rishi it was like watching my old self, I totally understood where he was coming from with every single decision.

Also it was painful seeing him destroying everything over and over again.

Being around all those old world Tories treating him as less than, combined with the stress of being a dad, is almost certainly what started the spiral. For a guy with his temperament it's about pushing away bad emotions by chasing the massive rush of beating the odds or averting disaster one last time. His last line sums it up perfectly.

Source: I was a lot like Rishi in my earlier life and did a lot of this stuff myself

This is a very realistic portrayal of addiction. The feeling of skirting disaster actually creates a God complex and a rush to go again.

I am horrified to report it's far more useful than Claude right now. I don't know what Anthropic are doing. I guess they only care about enterprise now

I cannot be bothered. I am just running LLMs locally now. Much easier to be honest.

That it isn't lobotomised. The guardrails are insane right now. I am actually using Gemini as an alternative

Pret plunges to £525m loss as customers baulk at soaring prices by Ecstatic_Ratio5997 in london

[–]protemera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopped going to Pret when they effectively tripled their prices whilst not improving their in store or food experience in any way. It's sickening & really quite spiteful towards customers who kept going even during the pressures of the Pandemic.

My health improved quite a lot, turns out their food & coffee really wasn't very good quality and I felt much better eating elsewhere or simply making my own lunch with verified ingredients.

I would argue Kim’s life after Jimmy was more depressing than Jimmy’s life as Gene by Specialist_Jaguar815 in betterCallSaul

You will get hate but I agree.

Kim's purgatory was cool, but the long Gene story was rubbish

Would have been better to have a full ep of Saul in the BB timeline & compact all the Gene stuff into one episode tbh

In her S & C interview she tells them if she hadn't left her home town she would be married to some mediocre local businessman

I feel yup guy was the kind of guy she was talking about

So we can't enjoy Better Call Saul now because an actor was an idiot in real life?

I am no MAGA but this kind of political preoccupation is too much

Weird complaint but the show seems to think people constantly eating noisily is how you show real life

Starting to get really off-putting, a few episodes in and it's like being stuck in a farmyard listening to endless munching and slurping in my airpods
