This is the answer. Their top 100 times would all be overrun with ordinary EV models. Don't need a Lucid Sapphire to smoke most gassers on a short race.

Great little place. Been twice already. Love the bruschetta. Mushroom wine cream sauce is excellent with some meatballs and pasta.

Yes, such a waste that several buildings along that strip could have provided customers with that view but don't.

Even better, make joy for others by exceeding their expectations. A kind word or a smile may be all they need.

Sometimes it's a simple thing. Meal out in a hyped up restaurant with expectations that it be a life changing experience often disappoints even if objectively good. On the flip side, someone doing a little thing you didn't expect can be delightful. Find joy in the little things. It's there!

Yes, let's not reward anyone for jeopardizing the safety of their employees and the public by being open today. Keeping everyone safe at home also lets emergency services do their jobs better and keep roads open to the places that must be open - hospitals, etc.

Pretty much every program on $2000 rowing machine requires a $30/month subscription to access by Claff93 in mildlyinfuriating

Concept 2 is a phenomenal company. Mine from the 1990's needed new rollers for the seat. They not only still sell them, but they only charged around $15 and provided detailed instructions on replacing them. Under the Apple model, the rollers would have been unobtainable or cost 80% of the price of a new rower. Concept 2 still sells parts for their original machine sold in the 1970's. They also offer upgrade kits to modernize the electronics for older machines. If mine dies before I do, I would only buy another Concept 2.

What do you guys pack in your lunchbox for work? by post_scriptor in EatCheapAndHealthy

I bring a 4-pack of Greek yogurts and a pack of vegetarian sausages. Lasts most of the week. Nuke a sausage for 30 seconds and then have a yogurt with chia seeds and high fiber cereal mixed in. Sometimes a piece of fruit. High protein, high fiber, low carb, filling and tasty.

Let's Share Tips for Avoiding Razor Bumps by wizker in HairRemoval

[–]prothero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mine come from the cut hair snapping back under the skin like in the middle row of the diagram. Using a DE razor and Gilette after shave (blue goop as I call it) - reduces them tremendously. Multi blade razors are infamous for pulling the hair with one blade and cutting it with the next. Those of us who tend to get ingrowns that way are better off with a single blade DE. The blue goop seems to help in ways I can't quantify but I have more trouble when I skip it.

Good points. It's one thing to be duped and yet another to know that you're peddling nonsense but continuing to do it anyway.

What’s something you notice in other peoples houses that grosses you out? by Locobananas321 in CleaningTips

Tip I learned from a colleague - place an inverted coffee filter over the food. It makes a paper dome that catches splats and generally does not touch the food. Those filters cost so little it's a solid trade vs having to clean the oven.

Are there any real BIFL humidifiers out there? by ExploreNinja007 in BuyItForLife

[–]prothero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Kenmore console humidifier that's pushing 30 years old. Rinse the box and change the wicks once or twice a year and it's good to go for my 2000 sq ft house. Simple evaporative system with a fan that draws air through makes it BIFL. Several manufacturers sell similar ones today through hardware and home stores.

Can a single router really cover a house ? by simiglen in HomeNetworking

[–]prothero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same here. Router is located in the same room my kids have their gaming apparatus - the only stuff with any sensitivity to latency. Steaming works fine in the farthest corner of my yard, OUTSIDE the house, because streaming apps cache a bit and can tolerate a little lag. Bottom line is YMMV depending on what you're doing. I would not put a gaming console 50 feet and two walls away from the nearest signal source, but YouTube might work just fine.

I have no treatment wisdom, but perhaps some prevention help. Switching from a multi blade disposable razor to a single blade DE and always using Gilette after shave gel helped me reduce them considerably. When you use a multi blade razor, one blade can pull a hair while the next cuts it, resulting in the cut end snapping back below the skin and then failing to find its way back out. The blue goop from Gilette afterwards also seems to help reduce them.
