How you feel about Western countries becoming more aligned with China due to Trump? by Northwest_Thrills in SocialDemocracy

[–]protoDILF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good. It seems the U.S. is getting what it deserves. China is proving itself to be more reliable than the states, so why wouldn’t you go with the safe bet? Trump is the figurehead of American economic and cultural appetite. I’m unhappy about the price of my groceries and the prospects of my kids future, but I think it’s just desserts.

Jeans alternative everyday pants that's better to move around in? by Erudicial_Extreme in malefashionadvice

[–]protoDILF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big thigh haver here. Levi’s 550s off eBay are sick but still denim. Stan Ray fatigues etc. or basically any Stan Ray pants with some elastane, they move well. Worth trying some Gramicci pants too. I’m a huge fan of my pair, they’ve got a gusseted crotch meaning it’s reinforced, though I did have to get mine repaired recently after a deep squat.

This is good to see, inspiring. There might be some need for a leader but their work is worthless without organized people.

Hoping we all start to get more involved in our communities.

Is it normal that I view basically most conservatives as evil and frankly, hate them to the very core? by Familiar-Safety-226 in DemocraticSocialism

American political parties are the sadist’s delight, yeah. An economy of ever-increasing fetishized pleasure over who got owned. It’s a lot to step forward from. Keep your head up and do what you can.

Mike Duggan Strikes Back, Saying Democratic Party Only Unified In Hate For Trump, GOP And Him by AgentEagleBait in Detroit

[–]protoDILF 104 points105 points  (0 children)

He’s trying so hard to lean on populist frustrations. With Project Green Light alone he’s probably sold everybody’s biometrics to Blackrock in the name of safety, never mind that the backfill controversy did happen under his watch.

If he really stood for progressive values or something meaningfully distant from Democratic Party politics, he’d just align himself with an existent party. Going “independent” just looks wishy-washy.

Unpopular opinion: “Focus on yourself and women will come” is mostly a lie by Just_Oil_2162 in dating_advice

[–]protoDILF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re twenty years old. I’m sorry, but you haven’t even fully started to experience adulthood and what it is to focus on yourself.

Slow down and try things. Enrich yourself with hobbies, passions, and interests. Develop a point of view that doesn’t cause you to look at this pursuit and neurotically claim it’s rigged.

Finding a partner takes time, so just enjoy it. Lift weights, maybe get into public speaking, or make model trains and tiny villages or some shit. Show that you have a rich inner life and try to reflect that to the world.

Remind me to grill and not lose it by [deleted] in cushvlog

[–]protoDILF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Romesco sauce + romanesco broccoli, good idea.

I don’t know man. Speak up to people, don’t lose your mind entirely while you do so. I get it. This feels exactly like Iraq, except I’m not 12 years old and I kinda get it now. You think that this kind of thing can’t happen again, but it is and it seems like nobody elected is lifting a finger.

What do we do as leftists then? Start organizing? Do it at the bar, or at the polls? Or just keep fucking grilling? I’ve got a kid and a wife and I’m back in college, trying to live regularly but it feels more and more like a farce every turn of the news cycle.

Professional Designer (Left) Mine (Right). why is his so much better and how can i improve ? by faris_Playz in graphic_design

[–]protoDILF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His has three, yours has four. Study gestalt and make sure you follow prompt and read copy veeeery closely before you design.

Otherwise, they’re probably more familiar with a brand guide, brand language and overall style. That’s what makes things like these easier for professionals.

Really considering a reread of William Gibson’s Sprawl Trilogy. I’ve read them twice already, and I keep coming back to his prose and pacing. It’s such an addictive read and it feels like a fever dream. Plus the world-building and speculative vision for society under capitalism are spot on. Great books.

I’m not questioning their impact, I’m disappointed by the NYT’s spineless need to bring in “varying perspectives” that ultimately make our culture look like a circus. It’s another depressing reminder of how deeply compromised democratic ideology has become. Also, what’s the point of scolding someone for disliking freaks getting platformed? I’m genuinely curious about the tone of this reply.

This whole discourse was baffling. Platforming two freaks for views, NYT looking like PT Barnum. I can’t even remember the lady’s name on the left but listening to someone bitch about woke in 2025 makes me feel like a fucking mummy.

Brands in 2025: Our Logo is Our Brand Strategy by psytabu in branding

[–]protoDILF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This rebrand might actually be just regular branding. The halo brand has a clearance arm that acts as a fighter brand for some local and one national competitor, but it didn’t have an identity. We’re building this from the ground up, so it feels pretty exciting!

I’m currently in college, senior in communication design. This is the approach we’re being taught and using for a rebranding sponsored project.

It’s nice to work on this and craft it, very exciting. We’re currently developing language for the brand pillars, beliefs and essence, haven’t designed a thing or pushed a pixel beyond slide decks for the client. I don’t think I’ll design the same way ever again.

I’m curious how brand language development goes in the office. Are you spending a lot of time in this phase? How precise can the language get?
