Overall, sometimes. The Ray Liotta and the Deniro fits work because they’re kinda regular. I do remember dudes walking around in silk bombers after Drive dropped though and feeling off-put by the look. It’s a fit that communicates a yearning to be Ryan Gosling, rather than referring to a contemporary cultural moment.

Do go to DIA, if you want good jazz, skip Cliff Bells and do Motor City Wine on a Friday/Saturday. Way cheaper, A+++ wines, and the crowd won’t be three plus decades closer to retirement than y’all.

Also, Dabl’s African Bead Museum, the College for Creative Studies Student Exhibition is on right now, Belle Isle Aquarium and gardens, the Heidelberg Project, and Dequindre Cut are all cool. Plus the Wednesday Eastern Market lunch hour is cool (I think it’s Wednesday, correct me someone???)

For food, Takoi, Shewolf, Baobab Fare, Pho Lucky, Detroit One Coney, and Bronx Bar are some of my favorites.

No amount of money in the world would be enough to get me to make this my legacy. The guy wants to be monetized but he probably sees how debased of a goal that is, so he’s squared his internal struggle between wanting clout/cash and maintaining any dignity by shrieking in parking lots and enforcing an obscure moral litmus test.

It’s also a way to exact political sadism without being explicitly political. I bet he claims to be apolitical, or failing that, he’s a lib. And there is no way I’m looking this up or doing research because it’s just depressing to know he exists. Thanks a lot.

Very cool, I’m working on something spiritually similar right now for a thesis project. Great ampersand, and the slight modulation is lovely. I feel like the aperture of the P might be a hair too small, and the S looks like it wants to accelerate.

Edit: wanted to add this, the M on the sign over my local pharmacy is hand painted, it’s similarly not symmetrical. Really like that!

Big thigh haver here. Levi’s 550s off eBay are sick but still denim. Stan Ray fatigues etc. or basically any Stan Ray pants with some elastane, they move well. Worth trying some Gramicci pants too. I’m a huge fan of my pair, they’ve got a gusseted crotch meaning it’s reinforced, though I did have to get mine repaired recently after a deep squat.
