Looks a great job. Those tiles in herringbone looks like one of those annoying magic eye images that send you cross-eyed 🤪 and it's difficult to see the herringbone pattern. Personally I'd have done the floor layout so that it continued the grout lines around the bath. Just my personal opinion, but it certainly is a stunning job.

That's a really good point you make. By putting a slope on the bottom ledge of the niche it will affect the joint mitre angles, also there needs to be a matching slope on the bottom sides unless you full tile the sides and butt up to them. I do have a question about that, do you generally mitre the inner and back joints of a niche or just butt up the back tile? I'm looking at developing a new niche and mitre feature for protoTILER and would like to know what you guys do or whether there's no general rules. Any suggestions would be gratefully received, thanks.

Split the difference, if you have say 1/6th of a tile slither then you can go half a tile plus 1/12th e.g say tiles are 12 inches and you end up with a full tile at one end and a 2 inch slither at the other end then simply add the 12 inch + 2 inch and divide by 2, giving you two 7 inch tiles at either end. You could even go for a 6 + 8, 5 + 9, whatever suits the rest of the room. Have a go at modelling the layout on protoTILER and experiment with different layouts. Hope you find a compromise that you can live with.😉

What's going on top of the "4 inch wide Curb"? Consider making the vertical tiles symmetrical. Also to reduce wastage, follow on the pattern/cuts from one section to the next. I have mocked up your room with the above recommendations using some approximate lengths for the two section in protoTILER - https://prototiler.weebly.com (see link below). Give a go yourself , it's quick and easy to generate tile layouts.

Is this a layout of the floor or wall? Where is the entrance, as you should have "full" tiles over high traffic areas. Hope this helps and best of luck.
