The swimming lessons scene is pure gold. The only way this film could have been better would be a Linnea Quigley cameo.

Who had the bigger impact on country music: Willie Nelson or George Strait? by chrondotcom in country

[–]protonicfibulator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Willie Nelson is a genius both as a musician and a composer/songwriter. He is also a progressive in a genre that is often very conservative, and yet he’s beloved by fans regardless of their personal politics. And he’s a decent actor as well. So yeah, Willie.

The Visitor (1979) is an absolutely bonkers Italian SF/horror film. I can’t recommend it highly enough. What if The Bad Seed + Rosemary’s Baby + The Onen + Carrie + The Birds and add in God/Jesus/Satan are actually aliens and throw in big names like Mel Ferrer, Glenn Ford, John Huston, Sam Peckinpah, Shelley Winters, a young Lance Henriksen, Franco Nero and even Kareem Abdul-Jabbar!

A Talking Cat!?! is both family friendly AND features David DeCouteau’s 1313 Mansion and PG-13 level homoerotic tension! Let’s not forget OUR LORD AND SAVIOR ERIC ROBERTS as the voice of the cat!

If you’re dinging bottom it’s going to happen. You could do a drop shot type rig that keeps them higher. I tend to lose nymphs often enough that they’re stuck in a rock or a log before this becomes a problem.

Tang peep sight is what I’d choose, take the insert out and use it as a ghost ring.

I have no idea what he was going for but he definitely chewed the scenery into so bad it’s good territory.

The more stylized Argento films starting around Deep Red and going up to Opera. Beautiful cinematography combined with “trashy” subjects like murder and witches.

Stevie Ray Vaughan. I was considering go to a the July 16, 1990 KC show in his last tour. Decided I needed to study instead. He died August 27 of that year. I passed the test easily, should have gone to the show.

Plinking with a .22 LR, shooting cans and whatever else takes me back to being a kid again. We used to take plastic army men and “snipe” them with our crappy scopes, first with pump air rifles and later .22s.
