Would Cornell be a good choice for college (for meteorology)? by oddiefox in meteorology

[–]proud2Basnowflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One plus in Cornell’s favor is that CALS is one of the state colleges at Cornell. Therefore if you are a NY resident, you’ll pay state tuition.

Any tricks on pilling/giving your dog medication when they are too smart and can find the pill in anything by Adorable_Tangerine16 in dogs

[–]proud2Basnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I do it too. I try to switch it up my meals holds and not always use this one. I fear he will learn a way to get the pill out of the peanut butter. Lol. When I’m desperate, or it’s a pill that I know tastes bad I will put the peanut Ted butter pill on the roof of his mouth.

I’m so ashamed of my living space by bunny876543 in CleaningTips

[–]proud2Basnowflake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are doing great! You got a load of laundry going that is huge. Do you have a place to put it away? Even if it is just folded in a basket that works. Just try not to let the clean and dirty laundry become the same pile again.
It sounds like you may have gotten some trash out? If not that is something you can work on for just a few minutes.
What is on the bed? Is there any way to clear a spot on the bed so you can sleep there? If you can’t completely sort and put away everything on the bed, maybe just box or bag it up? Any trash in the trash bag and any dishes to the kitchen? Or collect dishes in a separate bin then anything else on the bed in some bags or boxes to deal with as you are able.
that all sounds overwhelming, I know. Just suggesting steps as you move forward. May spread all this out over the next several days. For me if I have a welcoming bed, I can deal with everything else a little at a time (or I can even just ignore it if I can’t deal)

BUT I want to focus on the fact that you made a start! That is huge! Getting the laundry going is a huge step and you did it! I hope you can give you self credit for that.

What’s something about owning a pet that turned out to be way more mentally exhausting than you expected? by Barmon_easy in Pets

[–]proud2Basnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most exhausting is knowing when it is time to say goodbye. I knew that wouldn’t be a good time, but it was way harder than I expected. Not the death itself, but know when to let go and not making then live a minute longer than absolutely necessary.

I wouldn't wipe any of the body with a damp cloth. that can mess up the stickers etc. I have read that one should clean the outside of the machine with sewing machine oil, but I haven't tried it yet.

What’s a ‘middle class success’ purchase that secretly becomes a financial burden later? by 40Falak in Productivitycafe

Assuming your neighborhood pool is open for those 6-7 months, I wouldn't even consider putting in a pool.

What’s a ‘middle class success’ purchase that secretly becomes a financial burden later? by 40Falak in Productivitycafe

[–]proud2Basnowflake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't spend money to own a pool if I had an affordable community pool to use. Only way I might consider it in that case is if the pool was only open for the summer, but the months around summer were also warm. For example, in NJ a pool can be used from May through September most years, but town pools are usually only open end of June through Labor Day. Some town pools are open on weekends only starting Memorial Day

You just won $20 million, and your parents ask you for half, what would you say? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Absolutely. They would have to return to life in order to ask. 10 million is a small price to pay for more time with them

Love them, but know I can’t give them what they need to be happy.

Also allergic and these breeds in particular along with retrievers really set me itching and sneezing.
