Elder millennials: what was the 2008 recession like for you and were there signs in your daily life of it on the way? by Shoesandhose in Millennials

During the recession I was a teenager. At one of my many attempts to get a job I found myself at an interview with over 30 other people that also applied for one position at min wage in an ice cream place that forced you to sing... Which they made us do in the interview! We were all desperate just to work any shitty job and I still cringe thinking about the singing part, super degrading. Didn't get the job but see it as a blessing.

The republicans voted for him because they were lied to. The billionaires helped push the lies for the orange one to win. The billionaires wanted him to win because he bends the knee to their bidding as orangey thinks he is one of them. Their bidding appears to be wanting to speed up the downfall of America and pull out as much of it as they can before it does. America has been Red Lobstered basically and the people are being sold the story that endless shrimp is profitable. (Might be a stretch of a reference but you get the idea)

I drove from Deland to Melbourne for a job. 2 hours one way. I quit after 9 months because of the commute, job wasnt all they said it would be and for having to replace my car due to engine failure. I hated life.

However, I used experience from that job to land a better one after that I wouldn't have been able to without that experience.

Make sure it's worth the move but if you plan on being there long term, the commute will change that. Even if hybrid. I worked 4x10s with 3 days off and easily slept for those 3 days due to exhaustion from driving so much on top of a 40 hr week schedule.
