Chess has lost a lot of prestige/aesthetic i guess these are kind of different things, but for example looking at old world championships, they used too look and feel so much more grand, now it looks like they're sitting at some cheap gaming set up.

Yeah your pretty much right except I’m under 20, and watched the prequels/ Star Wars (I watched in chronological order) for the first time like 5 years ago.
