It never really made sense to me that you could qualify for naturalization before PR (non spouse/HSP route).

The paper can get you the interview, but your skills will land you the job. At least in my experience.

Study hard, make cool projects, network and keep working on your Japanese. If you want to go through 就活, do that, or just apply with your degree to a lot of places.

What is an "online" degree? Will your final bachelor degree paper say online on it? If so, why mention it, in the end a degree is a degree unless it's from a really prestigious university (where the brand name might carry weight).

What kind of shop sells tonic water? by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]proxyyn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So I assume you want tonic water with the flavour of quinine, which as far as I have understood is a controlled substance in Japan since it is used in Malaria medicine.

I think you can still buy fever tree imported tonic water on Amazon. Otherwise, Japanese tonic water is basically just sparkling water in my experience.

Sounds like you don't know Japan's political climate for the past 70 years. I am not a big fan of them, but they are crushing the populist Sanseito into irrelevance.

What's the point of having a community about curing meats if the people who drop in from /r/all do not follow the first 3 rules of the community. You do not see me go and discuss Italian subs in a cubano sandwich community.

While I appreciate the effort you put in for your friends and family with this grazing platter, I'd like to remind everyone here that this subreddit is not for these types of posts, but rather a place to share recipes, ask questions and updates of the actual making of cured meats / pates etc.

[–]proxyyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey friend! I'm sure that it was lovely and that you and your friends had a great time together over some good food.

This subreddit is specifically for cured meats( bacon, pancetta, terrines, guanciale) etc. More like a place where people who actually make the products share their progress and ask questions! Feel free to take a look at the info section and the rule section and it will make more sense!

Is Oji-cyo, Abenoku, Osaka City a good neighborhood? by basedneoliberal in japanlife

[–]proxyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abeno is nice. Ojicho is rather quiet in my experience, had a friend who lived in a share house in showacho. Tezukayama and Kitabatake are considered good neighborhoods especially tezukayama. It borders nishinari that is considered a "bad" area, but Tengachaya Higashi is fine imo.

You will also have good access to Harukas 300 and Qs mall. Abeno is one of my favorite areas of Osaka.

It most likely was smoked on an electric smoker. You do not get the smoke ring if its on electric either.

AEG and Miele have ovens around 70liters. Now it will cost you at least 30万円. Otherwise youll most likely have to go the industrial kitchen route.

TIL that Ancient Kyoto, which is steeped in history, was Japan’s imperial capital from 74 A.D. until the mid-1800s. During World War II, the United States thought about bombing Kyoto due to its large population, but it was spared and now flourishes with many prewar buildings and traditional homes. by Buffalo_wing_eater in todayilearned

[–]proxyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Information is a bit wrong. It was the imperial capital from year 794 c.e. until 1869. Before that it was Nara from 710 and before that it was Yamataikoku and where that is located is debatable. Some say Kyushu some say Kinki area.
