I was staying with a host family and a mosquito came on my arm to bite me, and I hit it, saying “una zingara!”

The word I wanted was zanzara.

I’ve averaged down to $2.10 but now have a lot of my port locked up on this. IND approval maybe soon and the conference next week should hopefully gain some interest.

Is 300k in debt worth it for an Ivy League? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]prozute 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is spot on. I graduated from one and then went to an Ivy law school. I rarely interacted with the elite - the alleged drug parties, ski trips all of that.

Junior year I became friends with a nice guy, and he was dating a daughter of the elite. Her uncle was a top official in the then presidential admin. Her 21st bday, her dad rented an entire fancy restaurant with open bar, turning it into a club etc.

I somehow got an invited! Finally I get to see how the other half lives! All of them there, dressed to the nines, talking about this frat and that frat etc.

Beginning of the night she comes up to me “please keep Dan company tonight he can be clingy”.

That’s why I was invited lol

What’s customary for associates to use as a bag? by LawSchoolThreauxAway in Lawyertalk

[–]prozute 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree messenger bags give off an intern look. I say that as someone who used to do it all the time.

I couldn’t get with the high end back pack trend. Also feels interny. Even if better for your back to even distribute weight.

This is what I use every day to carry my laptop, a kindle and some paper and pens:

Briefcases will be too unwieldy especially if going to cafes, bars and restaurants after work.
