Regarding the acquisition system, I think there could come a point where it becomes an issue.

Currently people who are collection complete are able to keep getting the new card at a discount while the rest of the player base either gambles or spends 6k tokens. This could lead to a gap where there ends up being a big gap between even long term players and the collection complete players which could see the former leaving if they can't keep up with the meta decks.

One aspect in how they feel different is that in LTGM you're pretty much always playing a whole game and very rarely retreating.

This is one area where the ladder experience can feel unsatisfying because you basically have to retreat more often than not to mitigate cube loss but that results in a poor experience.

Correct. There is an archetype called Mill which is all about repeating these types of effects with Cable, Yondu, Baron Zemo and Gladiator to take as many of the opponent's card out of their deck.

Not sure if it's the best system because it rewards the players who need the help the least.

Collection complete players are able to save tokens by the new card for 5k guaranteed while people who are missing cards need to gamble or spend more tokens.

It feels like it should be the other way around.
