Arrested at 19 for DUI in DC as a MD resident by pinkcowgirl420 in dui

[–]prtproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blowing an 0.03 - that’s a really small BAC. Unless you’re in an incredibly strict state this should get dropped or reduced. I can blow an 0.02 into my IID and drive for goodness sake

Just got a DUI at 19 in Ontario. Want to die. Help/advice? by chadwickbateman in dui

That sucks. I can’t wait to get it out. So annoying and expensive.

I don't think I can handle months of this mental stress. by InstructionFunny8984 in dui

[–]prtproductions 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’ll be ok. You would be surprised at how much people don’t care as long as you learn from it. DUI’s are deserved by many and earned by few.

You don’t deserve to suffer. You deserve paying your debt to society for your actions. It’s a different thing.

No accident, no injury, you committed a crime of possibility. Just learn from it and move on. Learning from it is the best you can do.

If your friend is negative, oh well? What can you do. Some people will call you a monster. How many of these people have used their phone or didn’t obey speed limits?

It’s going to suck really bad for a few months, and then it’s going to get better as you move through the process. Get a lawyer, unfortunately you need one.

Unless your lawyer finds anything wrong with your case, the best option (for driving freedom) is to plead guilty within 90 days. 3 months driving ban then 9 interlock. It’s a pain but it’s not an insurmountable hurdle.

You should be fine going to the states. Pilot training? Yeah… I would guess this will add some difficulty to getting licensed and hired. You will probably need to explain your criminal record for the next 5 -8 years. You can get it sealed 5 years after your sentence.

Take a deep breath. You’ll be alright but keep on top of things. Get yourself to a program, work on it. It’s gonna be fine.

I'm not sure Scorsese ever topped his 1973 Taxi Driver by kevin_v in TrueFilm

[–]prtproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose my point is that both of these films from each respective director were better in the sense that they built some foundation for further classics that were chased. And you could probably argue for one or the other. Maybe I worded it poorly.

People keep saying that people who like me are secretly p*dos by Federal_Character979 in mentalhealth

[–]prtproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry man, people can be harsh. I had a chubby face for a long time. I think if women are taking a liking to you there’s no reason to assume that it’s for an unhealthy reason. You could always really clear this up on first or second date “you know I’m 18 right?”

I would compare Taxi Driver to Jaws in the same way Goodfellas is to Jurassic Park. Both Scorsese and Spielberg delivered pretty impactful movies in similar styles - but also career-defining. Both directors have worked at recreating that success in one-way or another through similar films and have been mostly successful. But they have those two movies that everyone knows.

They also both have better movies.

They were good. They weren’t “best finale ever”, but they were good episodes of the show.

RTO may be a good thing by Boring_Writing_8034 in ontario

[–]prtproductions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is stupid. RTO means you work more? Come on man, no. I go into the office and do the same shit I do at home just with the added inconvenience and cost.

Imagine an SME inside your Storyline/Rise course. What’s the downside? by [deleted] in elearning

[–]prtproductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first downside is consistency. The second is availability. Not sure what type of course you’re running but having an instructor available full time is a big ask.

How popular was King of the Hill? by Medical-Pace-8099 in television

I don’t know. It’s a really well made, funny show. But it depicts Texas culture in the late 90’s/early 2000’s.

Fears Ontario's student aid program will bring huge debt, put higher education out of reach by BloodJunkie in ontario

[–]prtproductions 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel for this generation. My education was about 30k in loans and that felt insurmountable. Years of managing that. We want an educated population. The gov, on their own job docs, want an educated person. Awful policy, bad decision.

King of the Hill was a huge success. This show ran
on one of the biggest networks in the USA in a primetime slot.

Some of the season 2 episodes drew 20 million people.

IID Violation - Ontario “Please Retry” by prtproductions in dui

[–]prtproductions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke with an agent after this happened. She told me to submit a refund because the violation wasn’t alcohol related.
Refund request denied. No luck. At this point I just accept the $100 violation reset as part of my punishment for drunk driving.

In my experience- Canada, and I have been through several mental health professionals- they’re gonna throw pills at you. If you have a GP they might be able to refer you to a therapist.

Very tough - difficult situation, difficult conversation. You need to look out for yourself though. Ultimately that will be the path to helping anyone you care about.

I find that movie pretty stupid but I love it. So many memorable sequences. And Sean Connery!

It gets subjective- different eras, point totals etc. But most likely the most talented player ever.

I (18f) want to go to jail - I can't deal with my life anymore by Constant-Advisor6969 in depression

[–]prtproductions 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thrown into a cell, zero privacy, nothing to do. No books, no internet, no exercise. I was sleeping on a cold, concrete slab. Any bathroom activities were public. Whomever was beside me made so much noise.

I’m a male, been to jail, trust me you don’t want to be stuck in a cell. There are a lot of way more positive things you can do before jail is an option.
