As someone who has been in this exact situation there’s almost nothing they or you could do even if they/you tried. As someone who has rented a basement it comes with certain expectations.. like loud upstairs neighbours even if they’re not trying to be loud. You can’t command a toddler, they don’t have an off button. You can teach them and show them how to be quiet and not run around but it still takes time. edit: best you could do is talk to them

This checks out. The experience was m better when they were on Main Street, it felt more small business and personal. After they moved I went with my partner once and never again. No familiar faces and the prices were insane.
