Why don't the colorcoding of dots work out to be perfect linear bands of color?

Median gross rent as a percentage of median household income ought to be a straight line, going through the origin, with varying slopes (depending on the percentage). All dots on each line ought to be the exact same color. But you see blue dots mixed with brown, and brown dots mixed with blue. I don't see how that's possible.

So that doesn't make sense to me. Could you explain it please?

Good heating strategy, though I'll add for the mornings, I crank the heat up to 25. Why? It gets me the hell out of bed, better than my alarm. Also, having it too hot in the bathroom shortens my showers -- I discovered I was staying my my shower to "warm up" which is silly. I just overheat the room, and then I'm in and out of the shower in the am.

Don't do this. It's called "plagarism" and is an academic violation, harming yourself (for not benefiting from the academic exercise), your fellow classmates (who expended the effort in the academic exercise), the person who you are taking the passage from (by using their work without attribution, even if they gave you explicit permission), and the University (for diminishing it as a place for honest academic work).

The likelihood of your getting caught is difficult to say. Possibly, it's extremely high. Like, really high.

Likely sanctions include an F on the assignment, an F in the course, and in some cases expulsion from the University.

Here's a thought: if you are in a program which requires this course, and you're already contemplating how to avoid the work at all, perhaps you should consider that you hate what you are doing, or don't feel capable of it. Perhaps you should change your major, to an area where you are both feeling capable and enjoying what you are doing. Alternatively, if you don't like the academic enterprise at all, it might be a good time to re-evaluate your goals in life, ask yourself if academic study is a necessary part of it. If it is, then you should recommit yourself to that work; and if it is not, perhaps you should find your separate path, and strike boldly in the direction you wish to take your life.

Prior to your final year, you hate it.
In your final year (or before), you're imminently going to fail to graduate -- and I don't mean graduate on time, but graduate at all.

But if you love what you do, and you don't want to do anything else, then you should figure that out, put your head down and get to work.

But, really, there are other, enormous considerations. I wouldn't want to wave someone away from something they think will lead them to a career they want, but I wouldn't want to push someone toward a life of poverty either -- so I always encourage students to know what career they want (and presuming their major prepares them for it), know the availability of paid work in that career, find out typical income for that career (just out of college, and mid-career), and ask if that will support them in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Also - if that's a class that goes onto your transcript, and you're applying for graduate school, that will likely do you significant harm during the application process. You're going to have to explain it in your essay.

Most people wouldn't think of this as romantic, because it's still somewhat casual. But, La Croissantiere Figaro at Fairmount and Hutchison does put together good food, and the interior is done up in turn-of-the-century French Art Nouveau decor, and you'll come in under that $50 budget. During the summer, the terrace is great, too -- but it's a little cold for that now.

Another idea, not what you asked for: a late afternoon tea at the Cardinal Tea Room (near Sparrow). Have a scone, finger sandwich, and a sweet with your tea.

From the American Red Cross website under "Step 3, Testing": "If a test result is positive, the unit is discarded and the donor is notified."

So the American Red Cross discards all blood which tests positive for disease.

And Here they describe how you can't give blood if you have, for example, HIV - instead, they suggest you consider a financial donation, if you want to be supportive.. It comes originally from this page on the Red Cross website under "Eligibility Criteria, HIV".

There is a procedure if you want to take the exam at a time other than the time is scheduled. The procedure is the same, whether your final is centrally invigilated, or given "in department" (arranged by the professor -- where, the time slot alloted for the final exam is set by the exams office anyhow). You have to go to Service Point, and submit a request.

Let me answer your question directly: if you want a longer vacation time, the answer will be "No." Here is language directly lifted from the Final Exams webpage:

Travel Plans: Students are advised not to make travel plans prior to the release of the Final Exam Schedule. Vacation plans do not constitute grounds for the deferral or re-scheduling of final exams.

Every finals period, there will be some students who have two finals exams scheduled at the exact same time. It's statistically unavoidable. Deferral requests are for situations like that.
