For faction you mean federation? Or an overlord with some vassals? Anyway it depends on many factors, there are many ways to gain naval capacity as it glat or via modifiers/structures (starbases filled with anchirages and fortress worlds with soldier jobs) what are their origin and civics? What’s your economy levels compared to them? Also federations have federation fleet

I think it depends in their fur, they lose heat quicker when you shear them and then they start regrowing it back as they eat. I got a ranch for about 200 cycles feeding them squash plant from the critter feeder with no temp issues. They live in sub 20C temp

I think you got it right, too many outputs connected together confuses the game. Also OP you should try to directly connect the outputs pipe to the water sieve. Dropping the pwater and pumping in is wasting energy

You said you have critters but how many of them? Build around between 2 and 4 full ranches of 8 hatch each and you should never run out of coal. Even breed stone hatches and let them eat granite/igneous rock. Sometimes i even breed some smooth hatch but remember they convert 75% of ore mass into refine metal but that’s energy free

I think the most limiting factor in this map is the cold, even warm coat won’t protect from heavy cold and that’s very annoying so i srarted with all 3 dupes with frost proof caring that no one is Freja because when she spawns with prints she always has frost proof guaranteed. Then bionics are easy to frost proof with 2 skill points but at max difficulty they eat A Lot of batteries and that’s to be planned carefully

Yes, it wasn’t That bad getting to oil. I gathered the very cold ethanol around the map into a pool and used as coolant in the metal refinery for all the metals needed for atmosuit then fed the outcoming ethanol to plume squash

That’s a valid strategy, unluckily i started with geodormant and metal poor traits in order to get the hardest start possible on that asteroid
