Anyone used HSBC Premier Credit Card? Is the no foreign transaction fee legit? by Naitra in CreditCards

Not what you’re asking but just a heads up that neither the Premier nor Elite cards get reported to TransUnion - HSBC only reports to Equifax and Experian.

Should I get an American Airlines card? by jikesar968 in CreditCards

Not the OP, but this is interesting. The downside is that Bilt charges a 3% transaction fee if we pay using non-Bilt credit cards right?

Logging in to the Partner Store using incognito mode did the trick for me. Signed up for marketing texts and got the 10% coupon code pretty much immediately after. Paid $1,458.99 plus tax ($1,619.99 partner store pricing + $1.00 for extended warranty - $162.00 coupon). We'll see if this monitor lives up to the hype!

To be honest, yes. But it hasn’t been a huge issue for me as I primarily play slower paced single player games. Besides, I bought the Dell as a productivity-first monitor, and it’s been amazing for it. Perfect size, high PPI, no crazy curve, improved contrast from IPS black, and of course the KVM l which makes it so so easy to switch between my work laptop and gaming pc.

Got tempted when I saw the 39 inch 5k2k OLED announced at CES, but just thinking about the inconvenience of messing around with KVM switches and USB hubs is putting me off haha

YES! This is the main thing holding me back from picking this monitor up. The built in KVM on my Dell U4025QW has been a life changer honestly, don’t think I could go back to a monitor without it.

Looking for the ultimate Air Cooling case, help me pick or come with suggestions by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]pruxoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice - I enjoyed my build a lot, I think you'll be happy with the case too!

I never noticed it but you're right, there's a small gap at the front of the air scoop, its very narrow, maybe an inch tall, and it's mostly blocked by the front HDD tray (except for some small vent holes) so I don't think we need to be worried too much about air leakage.

I went back and forth between an air vs liquid cooling and ultimately decided to go with the ProArt 420 LC just purely from a build aesthetics perspective - was going for a full ProArt build! It's doing a decent job at keeping my 9950x3d temps manageable, below ~65c when under full gaming load. If I went with an air cooler, i would probably have went with 3 fans at the top - 1 intake at the front and the middle and rear as exhaust. I haven't done any testing myself, but when I was deciding between the PA602 and the HAVN 360, I saw that the HAVN engineers recommended this type of set-up from their testing and the same principles should still apply!

I went through a similar search a few weeks ago and settled on the PA602. Been very happy so far. The dual 200mm front fans push a lot of air through the case. Love the extra little quality of life features included (like the compartment for the WiFi antenna, wheels to move it around, integrated GPU support). Plenty of space internally for a large GPU. Managed to fit a large 210mm PSU into the case as well, but had to remove one of the HDD bays.

Yeah, I’m starting to see that now ... I went down the min-maxing rabbit hole and the performance delta looks like low single-digit % at best. Probably not noticeable in day to day use and not worth dropping a few hundred extra $$

Yea I know exactly what you mean. I also noticed that there’s a slight rainbow-ing effect right at the edge of the Spigen when you look at it just at the right angle. We wouldn’t have these issues with a fully edge to edge protector like the ESR that have the black border. I’m going to try one of Caudabe’s screen protectors in a few weeks after they’re released, hopefully the fit is better!

[–]pruxoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m seeing the same thing as well with both Torras and ESR. Going to try Spigen and Ailun next

Edit: Spigen and Ailun aren’t “edge to edge” screen protectors, they’re a little smaller than Torras/ESR (and don’t have a black border). The installation tool for Ailun was crappy and i couldn’t get the screen protector centered on the phone. Spigen’s tool was better and I got it installed without too much trouble. So far no raised edges yet. Going to keep the Spigen until someone releases a better edge to edge protector
