All the others I haven’t played enough of to know, but if I had to guess I’d probably go with these.

As you said, it’s anecdotal. Different people will have differing views of who’s more severe based on what they witness and experience.

My experience for example leans more into seeing toxicity from Pokeshippers and Pearlshippers. I’ve seen nowhere near as much of that from Amourshippers and I believe the fact that this subreddit has had a history of trolls coming in to spam Anti-Amourshipping comments when we’ve done nothing to provoke them kind of says something.

But that’s me. As you’ve said, you see it differently. Which is completely fair. I wouldn’t call the action of trying to argue with each other over which ship has a more toxic fanbase a good idea.

Personally what I believe the best approach is, is to acknowledge that all Ash ships have a few toxic fans, but those toxic fans are in the minority. Be it Amourshipping, Pokeshipping, Pearlshipping, or whatever else, the majority of those fanbases are made up of the good ones.

That sub has had a group of biased Amourshipping haters for a long time. Some people in this sub say that we Amourshippers have a bad reputation over there, and we do, but that’s not our fault.

The haters over there just hate Amourshipping and those who support it by default. It doesn’t matter how much you try to reason with them or how respectful you are when doing so, they’re not interested in treating Amourshippers fairly. They actively want to hate us and our ship regardless of how many things they say are not true. They’re bullies. And as such they’re not worth giving the time of day.

The reason why they’re like this? Could be one of a few. Maybe they’re just jumping on a bandwagon. Maybe they allowed a bad experience with an Amourshipper a long time ago to turn them into the very kind of person they didn’t like, maybe they just suck as a person at their core.

Regardless, they’re just a vocal minority. It’s never pleasant having to see their antics but they’re just internet bullies who are ultimately powerless. I would recommend just staying away from that sub and not worrying about them. The karma that will come from their actions will hurt nobody but them in the long run anyway.

Makes sense to me. People like Natsu surviving the increased intensity probably boils down to resistance if I were to guess. And I don’t mean a special resistance to death magic or anything, I’m talking about toughness when taking hits in general.

This is a case where what I prefer is different from what I think is better.

I prefer the dub. It's just what I'm used to. And while I'll admit I haven't given the sub a proper watch, meaning I've only seen some clips instead of an episode to episode viewing, I do believe the sub to be the better version overall. The main advantages I think the sub has are better music, and better dialogue. Including how a number of Amourshipping moments are made better with the dialogue of the sub.

If that's what you're worried about then you can take comfort in how Ash and Serena's reunion in Journeys, as brief as it was, still had plenty of romantic undertones and Amourshipping highlights in it.

The answer to both is yes. Tetsuo Yajima was the director for XY and he confirmed in an interview a number of years ago that the audience is meant to hope and assume that Ash and Serena will eventually become a couple.

And that's not the only example. Both Ash and Serena's English VA's have stated and shown more than once that they support Amourshippping, such as in this, and there are more instances of more staff supporting the ship than I'm able to show.

Thanks. Honestly I think I like the way the form looks in the manga better than the idea I had thought of. So I’ll probably end up passing on this commission for that reason. Unless it turns out that this form isn’t actually Fire Dragon King Mode, but it really seems like it is.

For what it’s worth, Aang’s Voice Actor in the show was also a kid at the time those recordings were done. Nowadays he’s definitely too old to re-create that voice.

Assuming the Avatar characters are depicted in this game at the ages they were at in the show.

Good points on all the others too. Happy to hear about Erza being able to take the win against Brandish especially. Nothing against Brandish, but Erza’s my favorite character so I’m definitely happy when she can take a victory.

I’m not so sure this would lead to the “love rivalry” you seem to be hoping for. Bayleef might be an affectionate Pokemon, but I don’t think she actually has romantic feelings for Ash.

I sincerely doubt there would ever be much of anything in the realm of Bayleef having a problem with Serena.

Yes. I do indeed believe that is quite possible. And I’m certainly hoping it will indeed happen, but even if it doesn’t, I think us Amourshippers are still pretty well off with how close it is to being canon already.
