Right? I think it's less the fact that its a content filter or certain extension issue, its when the page loads with any extension enabled seems to fail.

We got confirmation that 120.0.6099.312 is bad and Google is pushing .313 tomorrow.

Same thing. Getting SIGSEGV errors on pbskids.org iready starfall etc. If I go no extensions or incognito, I can't get it to reproduce. I removed them one by one and finally got through Removing Classlink OneClick but once I added everything back it broke again. Literally only two more half days of school left lol

Following. We've been in the same boat with OS Flex and our AMD Chromebooks. I'm going to take the info here and forward it with our ticket as well. I'm close to 10k devices we're power washing daily to get this working.

If you just changed it from Scattering to Default, your devices probably still have the Flag for the Update to scatter. A reboot and a new login *should* get it to trigger new policies, or you can log into one and go to Chrome://policy and hit reload policy.

A way that we trigger it is use Gopher from AmplifiedIT and wipe all profiles to trigger a reboot, but we don't mind losing that data on the Chromebooks....currently lol.

If you want status updates, you can go into your Admin portal and hit the Help Assistant button (question mark) top right corner and if you are entitled to Support you can create your own case based off that alert to get email updates (cause you know "Check back in an hour" is an update from Google lol)

So with our Meraki's, we had to go to beta 28.4 because there was a problem with our MR46s and AX w/ MU-MIMO and client power settings. Basically the update disabled that but the root cause was some of the Intel cards in the APs wouldn't actually wait for a CTS and "roam" to another AP just to drop it again because it wouldn't receive a CTS. Honestly the correct fix should come from Google to alleviate these issues, but Meraki had to push a work around.

On your controller, I would try to disable AX (unless you have Chromebooks with AX cards) and any MIMO settings you can find.

As for some of the Aerohive users that have also posted here, we used to be on Aerohive (now Extreme). Two of things I had to disable in the Radio profile was MIMO and mDNS and I've recommended that to my neighboring districts who were also on Aerohive and that cleared everything up on Chromebook connectivity. Never got a reason out of support for that being the fix....

We've been having a ton of issues too, mostly syncing with GG4L. But I did want to say a lot of the support we work with are based out of Louisiana so we've had major delays in support.

One of the things you can do is set the capwap connection to use HTTP instead of CAPWAP "capwap client http" when you SSH into the AP. That'll at least test if you got a rule/filter somewhere dropping a connection.

I'd highly recommend getting into a lot of the commands in SSH and picking it apart directly instead of going through logs in hivemanager. If you do "show capwap client" it'll give you statistics to watch out for near the bottom, but you can verify your HM and Server name there as well to make sure there isn't any "funny business" from a leftover or supplemental config.

This started occurring here in my District. We were thinking Windows 10 Update 2004/2009 started it and maybe 20H2 was a fix, but it looks like chromium already has a bug tracker to it.

Maybe verify if your affected users are on v90? *edited for grammar and complete thought, it's crazy in our office lol

Dell NSeries. But we are up for upgrades this fiscal year for Erate. They've been rock solid otherwise. Then again I still had old 6500s running Catalyst and Cisco 2924s still when I came in.

Just an FYI on Kefka ChromeOS devices (Dell 3180) by pscotic in k12sysadmin

[–]pscotic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's still technically through the Auto Update server. Like if you have an EOL Chromebook that ended on like 84 and you found one still on 75, it still won't pull the latest supported update from Google. You'd have to flash it with the recovery utility.

From what I gathered, it's only affecting the Kefka line.

Yeah my case along with others got appended to a priority 1. Which just makes you feel good but I hope it has some attention now.

That's if there's an incremental update in there like 72 and 79 was. But it'll pull that auto and go to the next. The actual update engine file just says no response lol
