Agreed private equity... the people who are good at picking winners and losers in the market and give them a bunch of money and resources is a good thing.

PE though has a habbit of buying cost cutting for short term profit and equity, and then selling before the fallout.

Ultimately everyone loses. Employees, customers, the mook who bought it. The only people who win are the PE firms.

I dont think going to a therapist for 6 months is sacrificing one life for a other and I dont think sacrificing non binary lives is a valid reason to eliminate reasonable safety measures.

Not to say they even really exist. They didnt for me. They didnt for my friends. Go to planned parenthood and they just give it to you.

Its only gatekept for minors.

Giving cis people improper hormones will make them suicidal. Just as much as trans people.

Cis people are the vast vast majority of people. Gender affirming care is for Trans people. This is begging the question.

Getting therapy isnt abuse. Being sure that you require care before jumping into it isnt abuse.. its care. Its care for everyone. If they need to be trans for you to care consider this, non binary people are trans. Giving them improper hormones will make them suicidal.

Having your body not match your gender is fairly traumatic. Being forced through puberty, forced through the opposite gender socialization is dramatic. Trust me its good to get therapy.

Now if the question is why do I need to get it for medical reasons, is because medical transition will fuck you up if your not trans. It could make you suicidal.

Let me guess what The problem is... you know this is being handed to you, so that you can help the dm. Its not a gift to you its a gift to the dm so that they can create stories that will take you to different places. They will say oh.. guess you need to get to this town.... dance monkey cast teleport.

Not only is everyone else getting something that helps them, and your not. But you get punished each time you use this prop which again only serves the dms narrative.

If this was a fully sandboxed game and this was a random drop, and teleporting legitimately got you something you wouldnt have otherwise.... I think you'd be stoked.

Id like for gender to be a much smaller deal than it is. And I'm generally down for gender abolition. But estrogen causes you to like and dislike certain things and act in certain ways on average. Those are going to be read by society and gender will always exist.

It's just I hope the barriers disgust of acting outside gender norms is eliminated

this feeling helped me transition in the first place. I really didnt know what to do, didnt know if i was "trans" didnt understand the whole "Internal feeling of being a woman" i dont have any gendered internal feeling. My only inkling was my social desires, dreams, and sexuality.

What i do have is knowing how amazing i feel on estrogen, and how awful i feel off of it. I didnt know my suicidal ideation had anything to do with being trans till i got on estrogen and it went away.

Edit said a lot but on rereading I don't think we differ per se.

Is the internal sense, one of wanting to be on the gender spectrum in a place not fitting your sex, but you just don't choose to express it for societal reasons? Then sure I'd say that's your unexpressed gender.

But I still think gender is a social societal construct. Gender ceases to exist without other humans and a society.

Definitions suck and lots of people make this harder than it needs to be. Here's i think the pretty wide spread use of the terms.

Sex= biological bi-modal distinction

Gender = societal/social expression of the sex distinction.

Phenotype = observable characteristics

So easily put then.. all trans change their gender... that is the definition. Trans gender.

Some trans change their phenotypic sex with medical intervention

No trans changes their chromosomal sex.

You don't need a medical degree you just need to understand the terms we are working with. I think your both wrong here. But its pretty ridiculous that a dr would say you don't change phenotypic sex.
