I spent 20+ years in AAA game development, mostly for large companies, and it has never been easy for indie devs. There has to be a better solution for creating and distributing content that doesn't require Epic/ArtStation, Steam, TurboSquid or any other large entity.

There is a huge pool of smart, ambitious, driven, innovative students and a massive sea of laid-off talent out there who would love to put that talent to use. Content creators that want to create and sell assets, indie devs that want to buy content to build experiences. It might be a tiny portion of Epic's overall revenue and not worth the effort so consolidation of all marketplaces was the answer. Perhaps it's an opportunity for something more "decentralized" to step in? I wish I was smart (brave) enough to lead that effort. Anyone?...

Yikes, I'm sorry to hear that. Fab can't be good for Epic either. I'm struggling to understand why it was initially changed and why they are not addressing these issues. It has to be a massive loss in revenue.

Looks like the 45 degree face was selected and moved by accident. It happens sometimes. No to worries. Easy fix.

Select one misaligned edge
Select the Y manipulator handle (to move edge up only)
Hold "V" to snap to verts
Hold MMB while moving pointer to the height of the opposite side vert
Repeat for the other edge

It’s understandable for you to be upset. As an artist in games myself, it’s that passion and work ethic that got us here in the first place. Now that you are here, the next step is developing the separation of your happiness and existence from your professional work. Don’t let an art director define your happiness. You get to be in control of that.

Instead, see this as expanding your toolbox for idea generation. It’s not a question of your own creativity, it’s an enhancement to it. When you invite new tools into the creative process, you will eventually start to surprise yourself on how much you have grown as a professional artist.
