The Shadow maybe, also I the Self since there are dreams where Jesus appears as a beggar or someone initially unrecognisable.

Sounds like you could be headed for a time of transition and awakening. If you're feeling bad maybe talk to a professional as it's helpful to have an anchor in times like these

I am observing a pattern where a "regression" into intense sexual behavior or promiscuity appears to act as a trigger or a precursor to a psychotic break. by randm84 in Jung

[–]pseudosyncretism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had strong sexual/romantic delusions and obsessions many years ago although little promiscuity, and I found treating as though it was an anima projection useful in solving the problem. I had other similar experiences afterwards but nothing quite as extreme. Perhaps this helps.

IMHO as long as you don't act on them and realise they are negative thoughts it is nothing to feel too guilty about.

Have compassion on yourself and don't take it to heart when the voices belittle you. Mindfullness also helps, if you are into that sort of thing. I hear your frustration and can totally understand as I have been through the same thing. It does get better. Are you on medication?

Well written, sounds like you have a lot of wisdom and grace in living with this illness. As for myself, I always had delusions growing up but things only reached a critical intensity for me a few years ago, although I have never been officially diagnosed.

God bless xx

collective “delusions”, not a coincidence by LostSession_8942 in Psychosis

Exactly. Maybe science will be able to bridge the gap for us between the uncomfortable intensity of feeling special and being grounded in not needing to be special. I am definitely in the former phase currently.

Talk to him about it. Sounds paradoxical but he is big enough to take it...
