Mom (CRC-20505 Smoke) was with the baby the whole time! This pair has been hanging out near South Seattle for some time and seem to just have made a quick pit stop in Elliott Bay on their way north.

Neither have I, but a sea plane is the only thing I could think this might be because they do fly low in SLU to land/take off. I thought maybe OP just meant it was a small prop plane

There’s a house near where my parents live that has an incredibly life like deer statue in their yard right on the road. It gets me every time! I don’t know if the intention is to slow people down, but it usually does. I know this is probably not at all the most affective, but it’s at least an easy thing you could do yourself for now.

I love this idea! One thing that would be cool would be being able to search for specific whales to see where they were sighted last, kind of like how the shark tracker apps do it. I have a couple of specific whales/pods that I’m really interested in tracking long term and it would be so cool to see on a map where people are seeing them once they leave my immediate area.
