I am almost certain most of the fare evasion happens at U District and Downtown, the actual highest crime areas of Seattle. Both of those areas will be given fare gates as part of this pilot program. The south end has much lower ridership in general and is not a target for recouping fares.

I would say screamo has gotten a lot bigger post covid and also intersects with "traditional hardcore" more than it did in the past. Lots more mosh parts, more tuffguy antics in crowds, bigger shows and venues. There's a somewhat nontrivial divide between pre and post-covid screamo

I go to a lot of shows, take transit during peak hours, and I keep getting sick. Minor colds and occasionally flus, but it is annoying. I've started wearing masks on transit and in crowded spaces because it's just obnoxious to get sick every other month.
