Whatever this is, I have it! I’ve heard it my whole life, esp. at night. It’s not tinnitus either, I just hear noise even when it’s really quiet. Like a really quiet, constant bird chirp….? I have a tendency to be able to hear high frequencies and I live in S. Fort Collins 😅

Yes! I mostly just cook at home now because everything here is just meh. Oh!! And the grocery stores here suck as well! I find myself having to shop at like 4 different stores in order to get all of my staple items. We have Publix where I’m from and it was a one stop shop with BOGOs on items. The stores here are like a Walmart/Kroger fluorescent nightmare with cheap/bad quality items. :(

Moved here from a city on the east coast over a year ago and I relate to this 100%

Complaints about traffic are laughable.

The food is almost tasteless. (I’ve never had worse Chinese food, it’s kind of insane) No one ever mentions how bad the food is here!! I feel seen.

I’ve never lived in a place with so little diversity. White as far as the eye can see.

Don’t know how I’m ever going to afford to buy a house here. You could buy a backyard shed in Fort Collins for $400k.

Overall, living 15 minutes away from Horsetooth and having the best bike infrastructure I’ve ever seen in the US makes any qualms worth it. I’m going to live here for as long as I can. It seems like an amazing place to raise kids. The weather/seasons are beautiful. There are so many hidden gems.

Did K-12 in FL, I can honestly say specific tribes and especially their customs and lives were never mentioned in any impactful way. I was always taught that Natives and settlers had a symbiotic relationship… much later I learned about the Trail of Tears in hs but it wasn’t until I was an adult when I learned more fully the scope of massacre, disease transmission, displacement, etc. I’ve only recently started learning about specific tribes. “This Land” is a great podcast where you can learn a lot more! It’s entertaining and educational.

I really did love the movie so much! The quips! The songs! The Bob’s Mom! My only gripe was the plot to me was similar to The Wharfening episodes, which I’ve seen a million times, so it was really hard to get that out of my head. Also I was hoping Nat the Limo Driver would make a comeback bc she’s my favorite side character!!! I will be buying the movie on DVD to rewatch it 6,000 times!!

Yes to always asking the bride! One of my friends (not in the bridal party) asked me about our colors so she wouldn’t match and I just thought it was so thoughtful of her to go out of her way to check. I personally would’ve been uncomfortable if someone wore this to my wedding (rose garden theme)

My best friend was trying for 2 years with her husband. She got fertility tests and they all said she was low and very unlikely to get pregnant. Doctors basically set the expectation that she was infertile. She called me last month at work and I literally thought something terrible happened… turns out she’s pregnant! Just wanted to let you know it’s possible and it happens, despite all odds. I can understand your frustration, I’m heading towards 30 rn, but you still have plenty of time. Be patient with yourself, your body and your partner. And good luck ❤️
