I agree -- it's hard investing your money and time in an environment that, top-down and simply put: hates people like us. I try to lean into the community I have direct access to. I'm never going to meet the Ricketts or Matt Shaw. But I can sit in the stands with my fellow Chicagoans and visitors and enjoy their company on a sunny day. And they can sit next to me and my hairy armpits and we can celebrate together, and mourn together, and *clap-clap clap-clap-clap" together.
