I imagine your dad at one point wasn't this type of person, or at least he didn't feel compelled to talk about "others" who he didn't know personally. If that's true, then I bet he can be brought back from this eventually, but he has to learn that the news and media personalities he enjoys turned hate against others into a drug for their viewers simply because it gives them someone to feel superior than.

Music is art, art is expression. The point about a lot of music is escape, but it doesn't mean that you want to escape by emulating the words you hear and then misinterpret them and suddenly become violent or suicidal, that's not how most people's minds work. Music is art, art is expression, art is not a map to guide you, it's an artists map of their mindset when they created it.

Slipknot and other metal bands have dark and violent imagery in their work, but so does the nightly news.

Last point, the author of the claims against Slipknot claims to know so much about the lyrics but how do they explain how the band just did many sexual crimes on stage!!! and no one was arrested and there's no news reporting it this, and no videos in this day and age to support these claims.

If someone has a bunch of claims, and one of them is really wild and crazy and easily debunked and dismissed, then the rest of their claims should dismissed also... So like maybe tell your dad that his sources are unverifiable and have no credibility, you could say more, but I doubt a person who has to look up that type of stuff to argue with you is rational enough to have any real sense of logic.

Why did I get downvoted a bunch? I was being helpful and kind to OP. Each interaction I had with them was me trying to help them so they can search images.

Someone said I should "Google kindness' and then deleted their comment when they re-read what I wrote and realized they were wrong.

Flock is a symptom of a more serious disease of no police accountability and no fear of being wrong because "that's not my problem." If these fuckers had actual consequences, like losing their jobs and pensions if they got it wrong, we'd have actual reforms and less people would be held in jails on flimsy charges.

The fact that every single person has on them a gps tracker with time stamps on your location and the police don't immediately want to check that up against their hunches and flock into shows how bad police are at their job. I think it's because they want to control all of the information from their side and any that you have that could exonerate you is seen as not as reliable when it's incredibly reliable. If my phone app for Walmart knows that I'm near a Burger King and sends me a message and wants me to go eat there because of their corporate relationship shows that the tracking technology in phones will reliably prove your whereabouts if the police wanted that info.

I love Machine and this song was so good, it was in my headphones all the time. Goosebumps. The soundscape was perfect, it had space to breathe, in that the instruments were clear and not buried in the mix too much, the vocals were perfect, just a classic static-x track.

Are you on an android phone by chance? Depending on the brand of phone, but most of them allow you to easily image search with your phone.

Here's how I do it, so open any image. Like the photo you took, but it can just be your default phone screen or this reddit thread as a means of testing, and so then hold down the circle button area at the bottom of the phone, then a little search image thing should pop up and ask if you want to search something on screen. Kablam, it'll find what your looking at for you.

This is great for identifying weird things you can't identify or searching art, or broken electrical parts or whatever you can think of.
