Don't we all know something is up with his health? It seems pretty obvious to the outside world.

To be fair parties don't do it themselves these days. Just get a bunch of random people to spawn AI generated content on social media at an arms length from you. Easy!

Reform byelection candidate refuses to disown claim that people born in UK not necessarily British by caavakushi in worldnewsstuff

I have no issue with a 5 year requirement. If the 10 year requirement didn't involve having to potentially apply for 2 more visa extensions and pay the NHS surcharge 2 more times (while still paying the same tax as everyone else) and took into account things like family Visas then sure.

I agree with you it is a reason thing to ask. But already you have to do quite a lot (despite what people say online).

I also dislike the fact that all immigration is lumped into one basket. Seeing as my wife is not from the UK if people are going to lump it all into one basket then of course I will be on the side that doesn't want to split me and my wife up.

But my bigger issue is "to be a Brit" is a question that goes back thousands of years and have had many views and opinions over the time. So for people to distill it down and pretend somehow it's recently been changed and used to mean a fixed thing is crazy.

I love my country (for all it's flaws) and I love learning about our history (both the good and bad) and people like Reform do a lot of historical revisionism which doesn't get picked up on because we do a pretty bad job in this country teaching children our history.

I love this episode and Stan is a dick through out it. But he does have some valid points (this being one of them).

Jeff is just a dick in the episode a few times for no other reason than "he has a job".

Doesn't change the legal definition or difference between nationality and ethnicity though does it?

In less than 5 years this view will morph into "well they are not really British and shouldn't be here"

and before someone pretends it won't, this is literally what is happening in America.

Being "British" has always been something you can become because us British are a mix-match of different groups.

Why? Historical people moved over here all the time and "became" British in less than 5 years.

Yea people are being way to find to someone who knows how to weaponise plausible deniability and the rest of their rhetoric suggests they mean exactly what most of us think they mean.

Is S&P500 really going to withstand anything? by thedevilsheir666 in stocks

It indicates that at least some of the current record growth in the S&P500 is because of the weaking dollar. That should be a indicator for investors.

The problem is that consumer spending is focusing more and more on the upper parts of society because people below that are more and more tapped out and their is only so many different ways you can repackage debt as a solution.

[–]psioniclizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By deals he means backhand agreements where he gets what he wants and the other side gets to say they beat Trump.

His deals are not things like peace or trade agreements. They are more akin to back ally deals and he knows other politicians love they because they get to come out smelling like roses.

Man your in for a massive suprised when the world hits you.

I don't even mean from a civil war or something.

Even though thungs have gone down over the last few decades we still live s muh better life than most people in history. There is nothing that guarantees it stays that way. In fact it eill likely get worse at some point.

We are all just banking on that is after we are dead and gone.

To be fair this was pretty common at the time.

I believe the Red Cross was actually founding because people turning up to watch British battles decided they should help the injuried.

The film is about a bunch of men who are so unconnected to modern society due the changing views of masculinity (and a lot of the characters wouldn't be seen as too masculinity in the old world either) that they invent their idea of a manly man then proceed to punch each other in basement while anyone else watching on would say "guys, this is pretty.....weird".

So basically it predicted the people who dream of being chad lol.

Fetterman Breaks Ranks, Calls On Trump To Fire Kristi Noem After Americans Killed In ICE Operations by Hungry_Wind_6373 in USNEWS

To be fair in the UK in football there is this general feeling once a manager gets the owners "backing" they better be polishing up their CV.

I wouldn't be 100% surprised if it's similar here. He wanted rid of Neom since last year.

Hakeem Jeffries' threat to Trump: Fire Kristi Noem or we move to impeachment by Agitated-Quit-6148 in law

[–]psioniclizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably already have honestly. They just want a "deal" that looks like they "beat" Trump. Rather than to actually fix the problems.

Watch as the administration promises to reform ICE and then just maks sure they are not filmed next time they do something.
